Title: Flexplate question
Post by: Fred on November 16, 2005, 07:51:41 PM
I'm replacing a flywheel with a flexplate on a 89 HO motor.  Is there a spreader ring that installs with the crank bolts?    Thanks, Fred

Wasn't one on mine.Iwould double check the length of the flywheel bolts as compared to the flexplate bolts though.the flywheel bolts are longer and may contact something or bottom out before being tight enough.

Get the right bolts for thr flexplate.
ARP has realy good ones but u only need stock ones if your car is stock.  Bolts for stick setup are longer then auto bolts for stick.
I have never seen a spreader ring on any 5Ls 351w with auto's or sticks
