Title: How to get 200hp out of an 5.0 TBI

Ok i have an 84 thunderbird and i know the stock rating is like 140~150 hp. And i was woundering is there anyway i can get 200 or close to it without having to tear down the motor?

lose the single exhaust , dual 2.5 or 2.25 will do fine with good freeflowing lers.

ditch the tbi , swap on a performer or rpm intake with a 600 holley vacumme


a set of mid lenth or shorty headers will help

set timing up 12-14 deg with premium fuel 89-93 depending on conditions

a 3.73-4.10 gear and limited slip will make the car feel quicker also
