"I dont know what the HELL you just said lil kid, but you reach out, grab a bruthas heart..." :D
one photo from my cell...
My car was parked for about 1/2 hr.
(Runs away screaming bloody murder)
Yeah we are all gonna get raped in the way of snowfall this year, the summer was way to dry, hardly any rain here in toledo to even mention.
From what I understand for every 1in of rain you get 10in of snow. So how far behind are you on annuel precip?
I know I am going to kicked in the ass with the snow. Dryest summer I can remember. I don't have to worry about the rust on my car either I got a beater/work car for the winter.
what is an 88 turbo coupe like on the ice? or do I really want to know? :shoothead
Send some cold down here, it.. it was 90+ and sunny for at least half the day at work today.
Farmer's Almanac says the Ohio Valley is gonna have some heavy snow this winter in december, january, and especially Feb. Fine with me because I have to do student teaching next semester and when they have a snow day I don't have to go!
Not sure about the TC but my 5.0 was a bitch last winter.
I can't count how many times I was in a ditch last winter. Never had it pulled out got it out my self but watch for the black ice. And don't get carried away and let the turbo kick in all at once.
Had a buddy lose his car that was came around a s corner and stood on it turbo kicked in sent the back around the front side swiped a tree and bent the car into a U. He walked away with a small head ache is all.
Hopefully that's not too true or the southern U.S. will be slammed with blizzards.
Okay, that was insensitive... sorry.
Anyhoo... :2gunsfiri snow :macgun: ice
Driving the cougar in snow and ice :toilet:
Parking the coguar and driving with FWD
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Manitoba SUCKS! :flip: Well, ok, Manitoba doesn't suck, but its weather dsure does ;) It was 25c here today, 27 yesterday, 24 the day before that, and is supposed to be well above normal until Sunday, when the temp is supposed to plummet to (gasp) 16 celisus! Hell, we haven't even had a frost yet! I'm still using the A/C in the car :D and I'm regretting putting the air conditioners at the house and cottage away too early.
I guess this is payback for the shiznitty spring (the sun did not show its face for the entire month of April) and winter (over 120cm of snow within a week in February) we had.
Seriously, though, it's as though our seasons have shifted by a month. For the past few years it seems like we don't get any snow 'til January (can't remember the last white Christmas, though we came close last year with a Boxing day blizzard). It doesn't start to get warm until May (can't remember the last time the lakes were open on April 1, the first day of fishing season). It doesn't start to get hot until mid July, and it doesn't start to get cool again until November. Last year I was deer hunting in a blaze orange T-shirt, for chrissake. Of course, we've had our freak storms as well - also last year we had a freak 20" (50CM) snowstorm in late November (I almost ended up stranded on a woods road because a bunch of trees fell across it while I was in there hunting during the blizzard - I ended up driving through/over the trees) but the snow only stayed on the ground for two days. The power outages that resulted lasted up to two weeks. Then there was hurricane Juan (category two hurricane that did category three damage), White Juan (38" of snow driven by 120km/hr winds) and the March floods the previous year (the day I bought my car)
The weather is getting seriously fvcked up. Global warming? I dunno, but if it delivers the promised tropical weather to Nova Scotia within my lifetime I say BRING IT ON, BITCH :D
I think I will do alot of walking this winter......
Yeah Tbirds and Cougars dont fair to well on ice. My 5.0 had just enough power to slide 2 180s on raining nights and slid me over a cement parking curb and into the cub on my street. Its not fun trying to push them back out.
Right now we're having one of the warmest Octobers on record, but I doubt it will last. Jeez I hate snow. You guys are making me chilly with those pictures and stories.
Hmm, Weather couldn't be better here in Ohio. Staying right on 80F. There was only one day last winter that snow covered everything! Hell only ten years ago it was a weekly thing...... I wonder if this is a cycle or a result of global warming?
Anyhoo. My Cougar is f'n crazy on snow and ice. Even worse because of the limited slip rearend.
