Title: '86 TC electric cooling fan on a V6
Post by: fordman3 on October 03, 2005, 05:56:06 PM
Hey guys,
Looking for any opinions again.  Does anybody have any experience with dropping an electric fan (single fan from an '86 TC) in front of a V6?  Should it be sufficient?  Is it possibly a simple bolt-in?  How to connect?  I'm trying to put together a gas-saver car for the time being, not a hot rod, so I'm going for efficiency.  This is an '83 3.8, carbed, no mods.  Rear is a 3.08 with AOD.  Thanks for any replies.

If its the same fan used on the 4cyl Stangs, I doubt it will cool it(well prob be ok in cool weather). To operate it automatically, you'll need to check Summit or Jegs for a fan controller/thermostat.
