i finally got my lazy ass under the dash and ran the fuel flow wire for the tripminder to my EEC
it works great now
best part was going uphill, 4th gear, 40mph, and getting 20mpg :D
Oh, I thought you were going to say "I got a job". :flip:
Better yet is going downhill in overdrive at 60 and getting about 65 MPG :D:D
Find a realy big hill and put it in neutral and you could hit triple digits
been there and done that
downhill at about 45-50mph, in nuetral, i was getting 119
I have one in my digital dash but I think it lies. I changed my gears to a 3.73 so I had to put in a 21 tooth speedo gear. When I'm doing 45 (actually closer to 40 or 41 the speedo is about 4-5 mph off still) the instant economy says I'm getting 45mpg in 3rd gear :bs: .
Now if we could find a way to get that average all the time! :D
I had one in my 89 Le Baron it hit 99 at about 90mph in neutral. Took a long time for it to start reading again.
Lebaron....turbo?
Nope, but had all the part to convert it to one. Until the rocker until I put my hand throught the rusted rocker panels.
2.5l

Thats when I found my first t-bird.
no shiznit!:D
hey shawn, now you can fix mine on the 86. :deal:
fix it? it isnt broken!
is it going to be like the last time i was over, you be in the valve train, i do the tripminder :giggle:
yeap, but the valve train works!:D
but what about mine? :giggle:
one thing about the tripminder. i do whanna add it to my 84 cougar but... i have a cable driven speedo. how would i hook up the speed input to the tripminder?
with the 84's, i have no idea to be honest
i do think that they have a VSS for the computer, but then a cable for the speedo
i got the one that i have in my TC out of an 84 Elan, the harness was all kinds of differnet, and it had a digital cluster
