Tire guy should have been slapped upside the head for mounting those tires white walls out. Idiot. But yes, very nice, very low mileage Anniversary car.
Those have always been my favorite 4 eye Birds.
Back in 85 we ordered a “base” model Bird this same color combination for my wife’s daily driver. It had the 3.8 liter 6 though and was equipped fairly well. Of course I wanted her to get the 5.0 model and a little bit more upscale but it was going to be her car so....
Eventually it developed the dreaded head gasket problem after about 8-9 years (80k miles or so) and by then we had 2 kids so we traded it in on a Mercury Sable which was a lot easier to get the kids into their car seats.
Other than the head gasket, it was a great dependable ride and it was a good looking car, we really liked that color, “Medium Regatta Blue” if I recall properly.
