When I swap the suspension, going to TC rear with discs and front TC brakes, if I use the TC proportioning valve (I read they can be used), I noticed a difference between t and the one on the Sport. The TC valve has a sensor plug on it, mine doesn't. Do I install it and just ignore that sensor plug? I read on Cool Cats that the TC valve can be used, and I have one, so thought that it would be the way to go.
Do you have a picture? I have honestly never seen a TC prop valve.
I have been using the TC prop valve for years. It may not be the best option but it works. Ignore the electrical connector. IIRC...it was used for antilock or ride control to signal hard braking to the controller.

I put one in mine Vinnie, I don't recall doing anything with the sensor plug.
Thanks. I'll use it.
This is for an MN-12, but this will give you a near identical idea.......

I used one of these when I increased the wheel cylinder diameter in the rear. I realize this is a different situation but it basically bolted right in place of the old proportional valve and kept the simple look. http://www.jegs.com/i/Wilwood/950/260-11179/10002/-1
Skunk is right.
Looking at the 88 EVTM I think it is the "brake pressure switch" used by the Programmed Ride Control.
Changes the shocks from soft to hard during heavy braking.
my 84 5.0 and my 84 3.8 both had this and both had no ride control.
For non-TC models, that switch is for triggering the warning lamp for brake system failure (front AND back on 1983-86 cars, front OR back on 1987-88). On my '84 it also kicks the light on when starting the car; I believe that was a system check at ignition.
