I always wanted a convertible, and this one was too cheap to pass up! It has every option on it, which for a Z24 'vert was only 3: auto trans, CD player and the white seats which were convertible-only. 150hp 2.4L Twin Cam FKA the "Quad 4", so even with the automatic, it's still a quick little car.
More pix, I swapped the CD for a cassette deck so I can use my tape adapter.
Too bad there is no od gear. My buddy had several 89-93 caviliers. Not bad cars overall. Watching the door gaps open up as he drove over bumps made me rethink ever owning a convertible.
No, it's a 4 speed automatic, 2.4's all had the 4 speed, it was the OHV 2.2 that had either 3 or 4 speed auto. I wish it was a 5 speed manual, but they made very few 'Verts with the 5 speed.
Ah, gotchya.
I am actually quite fond of caviliers, spent most of my high school years being driven around in them when we didn't take my cougar.
I always wanted to get a 89ish z24 hard top and do the Buick supercharged swap.
Watch the rear unibody rails. They like to return to the earth.
The engine cradles like to rust out too
