Really?
$17500
drop a zero, lol
Nice car but the owner is smoking the pipe
Depends. 8k miles, 80k, 800k? I wonder what's in the ashtray.
Faded seats. Missing fog light covers. filthy-assed floorboards. dash cap.
We can all dream for something, but that guy is shaging nuts.
Ya I bought an 88 tc with a better body then that and only paid $500. Grant I have to rebuild the motor. So ya whatever that guy is smoking is nuts.
How can you tell? Is it a different color? (I'm slightly color blind)
I almost want to ask him if he meant $1750. People don't sell these cars for very much.. :slap:
But... it's "perfect"!
JHC, asking 17-5 for a car at least pass the sweeper!
Freshly returned from spring break in Denver--or maybe didn't even need to go that far...

The red circled areas on the dash are a sure way..the speaker grilles and demister vents appear "sunken"...sure sign of a dash cap. Also, the ash tray is full of something. I hate smoke stinked cars.
For 17 and a half grand, that car had better be brand new condition. Ughh.
It would maybe be worth $17.5k if it had 800 miles and looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Maybe. This car is worth $3k on a good day.
Slow down....the sale price is Chickamauga Dollars. With current conversion rate of 10 Chickamauga Dollars to $1 U.S. that equates to $1,750.
I'm just curious what people think when advertising something like that? I just want to call up and ask where did you pull that number from? What FACTS do you have to support it?
I saw this car this past weekend at the all-Ford swap meet in Columbus, OH. He was asking $9500 there. It's very, VERY clean on the outside, virtually unmolested. But yes, there were some issues…thinking maybe the price was trying to recoup some of the newer TC additions to it.
Looks like a "Wife says 'sell', so here's me 'making an effort'" type of things to me... "But honey, I'm TRYING to sell it!"
I see the 87 XR-7 on eBay with the buy it now price of $11,500 is from Chattanooga too. Wonder if its the same owner.
If that's the case, then he's a ed genius lol.
Sadly, I think this is not the case. He spent a lot of money having parts swapped in from another car, is my guess, and now wants his money's worth back out of it. Good effing luck. Might as well pee in a pop bottle and sell it for seven-up.
lol
You're probably correct. I emailed him, and the motor has @ 50k miles. The body has @ 155000 he thinks "but need to ask my Dad". Lol! Great you really don't know what you are selling.
-i talked with the son Eric. he was adamant that EVERYTHING on the car had been replaced or refurbished. his dad would "consider" a legitimate 15k offer. i thought (my opinion) he prolly should be in the 5k range. told him i couldnt see that much in a car that looked so dirty in the pics. also, couldnt give me a actual "body" mileage either....
