Here in Calgary gas prices have gotten to around 84cents CAD/litre. That I could live with but this morning on the news they predicted $1.00/litre by the end of the summer. Getting a tad ridiculous, my 83 Tbird has a carbureted 302, soon to be a carbureted 351, and the best mileage I'm rated for is 13mpg city. Besides converting to fuel injection is there a way to considerably boost the efficiency of a carbureted engine? I find myself wondering about miracle gadgets like the Turbonator (Yeah I know). I don't believe for a second one of those would work on a fuel injected engine but for a carburetor the principle sounds almost plausible. Anyone got hard data on these?
K forget about the turbonator I guess, took a closer look at one and it won't fit my type of intake.
