Happened to go over to my Grandparents a few weeks ago, and lifted the cover on the Cougar. Its in sad shape right now. Interior is half in, half out, hood is off, battery is dead, 14" on the front, Snowflakes on the rear. just looks like a pile of shiznit.
Got me thinking since then. All the plans Ive had for that car over the years and how they have changed, how much I learned to do on that car, all the things I did wrong in the process, and it just sits.
That got me thinking more. I never really got anything done I wanted to do because the money was short. Started adding up the money I spend on my SHOs and its out of hand, and they are still slow... The money I have spent in the last 6 months I could have built up a 351, did suspension, and beefed up and swapped in my TC rear. Hell I might have even been able to paint it.
After thinking about all that I have really been getting this itch to do something with it. SHOs are fun, I have a pretty cool one IMO, DD is nice enough, but I miss the displacement. I should be moving into a new place over the next few weeks, with a garage I can keep it in so I will be able to work on it. Even if I dont move it it will only be 5 minutes from the new house. On that note I am headed over to try and get it to run...
And ponder what motor will go in. 302, 351, 4.6, 5.4, LSx..... Hmmmm....
Believe me, a lot can be done on a limited budget. I've been where you are. I remember the Sport being gutted, no engine, every panel was dented, and every light and plastic piece was busted. It takes time, and just doing it. It won't get done by itself. Get to work.

This is part of the reason I sold my SHO, to buy the Sport. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.:D
