Title: Sport auto shifter...

Any one know how the handles come off the Sport floor shifters?  Thanks.:D

They pull right off though it might require a little effort!

Push in the button,and twist and pull with great amounts of power.It'll come off. Remember to hold the button in.

These were the instructions I recieved when I did mine. I did all but #3 and it worked very easy                                                                                                          1. With parking brake set, pull shifter back into 1st gear (better angle for removal).
2. While depressing the button on the handle, pull the handle off of the shifter.
3. Smack yourself in the face with the shift handle when it violently comes off.

I think the likelihood is that they're in a self-induced coma...I was close when I pulled mine off to reupholster some years ago.

Unfortunately, no. Between work and school, haven't had any Tbird time :punchballs:...lol. Maybe this weekend.:D
