Any 5.0 EFI Fox Stang will work for heads, cam, and intake. You can also get the E-7 heads and injectors from an EFI F-150 pickup.Same things.I don't remember what year my Taurus fan was....I think a '99.You may also want to get the 3.0 Taurus alternator (130 amp). Those are really good to have with an electric fan. A lot of Crown Vics also have the orange injectors (19# ). The computer needs to be from a Lincoln Mark VII or a pre-Mass Air EFI Mustang. The odds of finding a Mass Air computer from the Stangs is rare anyway. They go FAST at the yards.IF you can find EEC's from Mass Air Fox body 5.0 Stangs cheap...grab them. They sell very well.

All of the EFI trucks should have them and the 19# injectors. If there's a 5.0 Explorer,Those would have the GT40 or GT40P heads.Very good heads. The P heads would require  a little more effort to use though. The '96 and early '97 explorers have the GT40 heads.Direct swap. Also, they have the (obviously) Explorer intake that is a big upgrade from ours, and, they have the 65mm throttlebody that can easily be adapted to our cars.

The regular Gt40 heads yes,.....  the "P" heads have a different angle to the spark plugs ...so maybe not on those

I have read (a lot) that the BBK unequal length headers work well with the GT40-P heads, but, you need 90 degree plug boots.I got some Taylor plug wires with the 90 degree boots. That part isn't hard to do.Plug wires are every where. The headers will bolt to the "P" heads as well.

Good luck. Take some cord or something to tie parts together for easier carrying, and maybe a duffel bag.I always carry a duffel bag for carrying everything.

Find the right car and drag it 10', You can get it all, sell the rest on ebay.

Just get the FRPP stainless header for the GT40Ps. That's what I did and I can run any plug wires and change the plugs with ease. Then again most people don't want to spend the $250 for them even though they are stainless and will never rust;)

well i just got back from the JY,  there was absolutely no mustangs to tear apart, i found tons of explorers most were either tore aprt or full of the clunker stuff, i did find one unmolested 97 explorer, so i got the upper and lower intake with throttlebody and fuel rail and injectors, i also took the gt40p heads, when i took them off i found out the motor was rebuilt and only had around 20k on the fresh rebuild, i also grapped a stock sn95 mustang spoiler for my bird, and sum 99 taurus electric fans, also grabed a set a coils from a fox 4cyl stang, and a stock strut bar from a sn95, im gonna try to make it work, i also grabbed stuff for my buddies like jeep fender flairs and other 4.6 parts and random stuff, walked it all ten yards and only paid 65 bux, future note (dont try to strap a set of heads to your legs haha) will post pics asap, im going to start polishing the intake next week, and send the heads to get hot tanked and get a eec and new cam soon,
