Title: Sheet Metal Question - Need to Find a Replacement Fender
Post by: Aerocoupe on February 28, 2010, 09:50:48 PM
I need an OEM (no repops) passenger side fender for my 1983 T-Bird.  It does not have the cornering lamps.  Would a fender from an 83-86 T-Bird or Cougar work?  The reason I ask is that I can find several 85-86 Cougar units and just wanted to make sure one would work.

Thanks,

Darren

That is what I thought but I wanted to make sure.  These are getting fairly hard to come by anymore.  Thanks for the info.

If I were you... I would grab an extra set and put them away

I have thought about that as well.  There is a salvage yard back home that has several sets for about $50 a set but who knows what kind of shape they are in.  If I can find two rights and one left then I will get them.

I need a right front fender for my 1986 cougar also no corner lights, care to share where I might be able to get one. I had people checking but they probably didn't look high and low. :)

Try http://www.car-part.com. I find all kinds of stuff on there. It's basically the same network the salvage yards use.
