Title: 2 compressors together- painting
Post by: mattg on February 01, 2010, 02:28:37 PM
I have a small compressor that was just barely enough for me to shoot the new fender i got a while back.  but i got thru the fender job without issues.  but now i need to do my hood which was vandalized recently.    is there a way to increase my CFM, somehow,  by running 2 compressors together?    My friend lent me another compressor,  but it is small as well.    I decided to experiment with airflow........ I ran both compressors into a Y fitting and then ran the Y fitting to seperator / filter and then 30 feet of hose to my gun.  one compressor got depleted and cycled on.............while the other one was still full and didn't seem to "contribute" any air.

Should work just fine, we used to do this while sandbasting.
