" SMALL-BLOCK MADNESS"  We built and raced the car in the early 80s and retired it to the street for the odd sat night/sun cruise after it became a conflict with our business (farming and electrical contracting) which ate up the summer hrs.

Wow. I'm finicky with the 83-86s...and that first pic is BADASS. Wow. Something about that whole combo is just awesome. Seems like everyone rocks the Cobra R's but ya know....they work! Love the comet too, looks like a lotta fun no matter which set of keys you take. :D

Thanks, the fun factor is there. The comet has a top-loader/5.43s and the cougar a HO/ T-5/4.10s....real cars have 3 pedals.:burnout:

I'm sure I've never seen that color on a Cougar before.  Looks fantastic.

You've just fueled me to locate a cougar like that...hopefully for free :)

Does anyone else find it harder to find cougars than thunderbirds? I can never seem to find a fox cougar here in florida...

Yup, always harder to find a Cougar than a Thunderbird.

I've always liked the rear shots like that on the 83-84 Cougars.

That color is just a rare color, and really makes the car stand out too.  That's the same color of the '84TC I had that I sold a few years ago.

Your Cougar is very very nice.  I am at work and when I saw that 1st picture I said "!" outloud.  lol.  The grey painted Cobra's work perfectly with that paint color.  A few months ago their was an exact twin to that car at a local car lot (except stock with V6)...I wanted it but the wife said no.

What size tire are you running on the Cobra R's?  Are they 16's or 17's?  I am going to go with a taller/wider tire on my 'bird and I like the way yours look!

Oh one more thing; MORE PICS please!

I like the color on your Cougar, it's different you don't see that too often. I love the Comet! That thing's sweet!

The tires are 255/50/16 rear and 225/50/16 front...as far as more pic's, let me root through my files and see what I can scrounge up.:D

Both of your cars are rockin' man!  So which one to you find yourself driving more?

The cougar seems to win out lately the past couple of years since it's completion. I like the fact it's "turn key and start" LOL. I can fill it @ the pumps, turn on the radio( and hear it) crank up the A/C ,buzz 5800 between gears :D idle on a cruise and drive it home.
I love the comet as well but with 12.5s, a .620 lift solid cam, and a 3200lb long style clutch, it's a little more "high maintenance" and involved for a cruise....but still a lot of fun!
