Title: brake upgrade ? regarding M/C
Post by: the_intimidator03 on September 18, 2009, 04:30:25 AM
I searched and really couldnt find anything regarding master cylinder upgrade requirements.

Basically im looking into upgrading my front brakes to sn-95 11 inch set up.  using the dual piston calipers, rotors, brackets from 99-04
would i need to upgrade my factory m/c or would it work fine with the stock drums in the back?

I do realize ill have 5 lug in front and 4 in back..  just wanting to get my front end freshened up first.  then find a rear end to swap over.  so in the future it will be 4 wheel disc brakes but for right now.  upgrading to the 99-04 spec brakes up front and stock drums in back... would i need to upgrade my mastercylinder?

I used the orginal M/C on my car for a while and it worked fine.

I later upgraded to 13in cobra frt brakes and the cobra rear disc I changed to a
'99 up V6 m/c and it gave me better pedal feel.

Gumby on this board is very good on brake setups and pedal feel with diffrent m/c's

I'm still using the original MC with 11" duel up front and disc in the rear. I also got a prop valve on but it's opened up almost all the way. I haven't noticed any problems.
