Wow. Just wow. I suppose the one saving grace is it has a T5. :rollin:
And is it just me, or is this the most hilarious belt routing ever!!!?? Among SEVERAL other amazingly mickey-moused things I've found in that picture right there...

is that tensioner even touching the belt?
Looks to be a no. Needs work but could be a very nice car. Whats with all the tinted lights? That just looks odd.
I HATE those hood scoops...no matter what you out them on. I've also wondered what those rims would look like on one of these cars....Too bad it looks disgusting :puke:
Too much work for me at this point to get it where I'd like it...
Other than the engine, and hood, kinda reminds me of Weasle's old Cougar.:hick:

Did he sell it? Man its almost like a close doppleganger.
Weasle wouldn't sell that car...besides Weasle's car aint got a hole in the roof.... http://www.geocities.com/the_bad_weasle/
I always liked his car quite a bit.
LOL He's still around and still has the car. Just isn't on the board much. But I saw that auction earlier today and sent him a link to it. :)
those rims look awful even on the stang they come on. lol. some people have no taste... those "hoodscoops" are just awful.
I think I've figured out why some cars end up like this.
If you've ever known someone that can REALLY draw, you know that they've got a keen eye for things. There is a sense of order and purpose to their artwork, and you can (usually) clearly see what they're drawing. It's like magic on paper. The best modern example would be Chip Foose. You can easily get what he's doing and it's just amazing to watch him.
If you've ever known someone that THINKS they can draw, but really can't...it gets really messy really quickly.
Sometimes people that think they can draw will attempt to apply that same principle to cars. In their mind's eye, they've got a vision of the vehicle that they think looks way cool. The final execution might be close to what's in their head, but it's nowhere near what other people are really seeing. Otherwise, stick-on hood scoops and aluminum bi-plane rear spoilers would never exist.
But it takes all kinds...all I can say is, good luck selling this car to someone that has the same inner vision...
Well to build on that comment some cars on here are alot like that. Eric your car is a good example of a VERY well executed ride. There are many others on here as well. Imports are usually really poorly executed. You see alot of guys put little things on their cars and that ruins it if it isn't done right or it may be overbearing.
Well thanks, appreciate the comment.
But that's kind of my point. I have been drawing since I was 2 years old. Can you tell? ;)
Yes, I can. Its all in the automotive art. Its its own art form.
Whew!! Had me worried. :D
My point actually was all the mechanical stuff that was cobbed together LOL. I found the following:
-collapsed upper radiator hose because its being crushed into the alternator
-"AC needs repaired" despite a TOTAL lack of a/c componentry
-heatercore disconnected, hose looped around with some ghetto-looking fitting
-air pump not there but air pump hose stuff there and collapsed/bent
-fan shroud CUT up to accomodate bigger fan :hick: :rollin:
-the belt routing of course....(why is the PS pump up there haha)
-and the typcal random wires around doing nothing and a friggin Edelbrock sticker smacked on the firewall standing out like a sore thumb
Oh well. Hardly beyond repair...body seems to be in good shape I suppose. I think it would be fun to drive as a beater/DD!! :hick:
Looks like someone really wanted a mustang
Just because you can install it on your car doesn't mean you should.
I didn't notice half of what you mentioned....I hardly made it past the body condition and the v-belt carb motor and lost interest...
Same applies to clothes. Just because they made that in your size doesnt mean you shold wear it. Bad part is, most of them dont realize that they really wear 2 sizes bigger.
I agree with V8Demon. Too much work to get it were I want it
9 times out of 10 when i see a car factory equipped with an EEC , only to find a carb motor, I see someone with no clue about electricity.
the car looks ok,, the hood is vomit, the rest is pretty much a decent start.
Judging by the small block of wood behind the front tire in the second picture I would say e brake is shot....
and just for the record,, that car starting price might be ok but luck of the draw might get 1500 if he's got the aces.
I would drive that, if I didn't need a heater and emissions. I like how the motor is a 95 but appears to be carb's.
Switch the hood and wheels and a little maintenance i think it'd be just fine for a while.
