Hello everyone,I have a 87 ford t-bird with a 3.8l v6efi.I took it to the shop and they put it on the computer and it showed whole lot of bad sensors. So they replaced every sensor on the top, sides, front and back of motor. They put it back on computer and it and it still showed bad sensors.I think the computer in the car is bad.It runs sluggish like its trying to flood itself out but when you give it the gas it smooths out.If anyone has any ideas please help.I would greatly apprecate it.
Sounds to me like you are getting ass-raped my friend. The car certainly would not run if every sensor was bad. Make sure they dont charge you for their trouble-guessing imcompetence. It is way too easy to scan for codes from the computer. Get a second opinion if I was you.
bad catylic converter?
try the map sensor and vacum leaks. That is what was wrong with my car when I got it.
sounds like a bad o2 or map sensor to me, I agree, scan for the codes yourself. Also remember that the computer stores codes, so they need to be cleared first, then run the car again.
What kind of symptoms / problems are you having? Might help with diagnosis. These guys helped me a great deal and I am sure they saved me a bundle in guess work.
It's running sluggish like it's trying to flood itself out.
