Title: Timing question

I finally passed emissions with help from a new cat under the Cougar.

I reset the base timing this past weekend to 10 BTDC, and after hooking everything back up and restarting, I took another look and it had advanced to between 20 and 30 BTDC. Is this normal? I know it will 'reset' itself, but this much ???

With the advance hooked up it will appear higher.
Totally normal.
