I have an HO upper plenum and HO TB and spacer. If I put these on will it have an effect on how the car runs, I already have some exhaust work done to the car, Hedmann Shortie headers, Flowmasters with 2 1/2" straght duel set up with turn-downs. I have to fix some vacume leaks under the plenuim anyway so I figured why not put it on while you ahve a chance. Also I plan on changing Intake tubes, should I fork up the $150 for a MAC intake or try to make my own out of PVC piping.
If I go the home made route, can anybody send me a list of stuff I would need, especially the degree on bends I need to make it work.
Thanks
Damon
The MAC setup is nice but, the steel tubing will still transfer heat off the engine to the incoming air. You could go to Home Depot and pickup two 90 degree elbows, one straight coupler, and a small section of pipe ( all made out of black 3" abs pipe) and make your own cold air setup ( you might wanna pickup some 3.5" silicone hose also).

you could get one of those cheep kits on ebay. i got mine and fitted it up. they fit pretty good. they only sell them for mass air setups so you would need a meter to finish it. im still running the plastic airbox with the silencer removed untill this spring when the roads are a little cleaner.
the HO intake/tb/egr spacer will run fine. i had no issues other than having to mess around with the tps and idle stop screw a little. noticed a power increase as well.
