as in dimensions. If not what are they. Thanks
John
They are a direct swap.
But are they the same width. My lil project needs procise measurements.
Well, there Me A Small Difference, but Not Much At All.they Had To Fit In The Same Area In The Birds And Cougars, plus, turbo Coupes Generally Had The Adjustable Side Bolsters, which, may (or May Not) Add A Tiny Bit More Width. The base of them is the same. The backs of the TC are taller.
Ok thanks i can deal with tall seats (fronts don't matter). I have TC seats but don't want to "experiment" with them so i'm gonna get some junk "regulars" and use them first(the regulars are my test dummys:D ).
What are you working on?
Shhhhh its a secret project:hick: .......I'm putting the whole interior of a tbird (minus rear panels) in a mustang. I have put a door panel on a door and it will fit, dash will work (mustang harness), the little carpet thing on rear panel and rear armrest will fit, working on seats (fronts good rears in progress), next is center console (custom ebrake). This is a on and off project so who knows when its done.
you could just get a bird and cut out the middle-man, so to speak. LOL
I have a wrecked 5.0L sport that i got everything from so anything i need i got (well most of it).
OK, now you have to give us some pics. Im kinda curious on how everything goes together in the car now.
What year is the 5.0 sport that you have?
Mine is an '88.I wouldn't want any other year......sentimental reasons.
Mines an 87. I have pics of the front seats in my old SVO and the rears were in when the rear panels were out. I don't think i took pics of the dash in my convertible but it looked cool(85 GT). I'll put a door panel in place and take a pic. It will take time but it will be worth it.
Heres on pic:

Those look JUST like my seats.
Yeah the sports had the TC seats (thank god). Heres a pic i took today to show what the door will kinda look like w/a bird panel

Those will need help to fit.How well did the back seat fit into a Stang (which,by the way,can easily swap seats with a Cat and Bird).
The door panels actually fit pretty good. I'm gonna have to take out some material for the seat which is why i'm gonna get a junk seat and experiment with it. Upholstery shop can do it with not to many headaches.
