Well, it was five years in the making but yesterday I graduated college with my BA in Graphic Design :D
It's been really hectic these past few months gathering my portfolio, finishing off classes and spending more money than I ever thought I would all while working two jobs at 44+ hours a week. All of my excitement was almost shot down for me this past Monday as I got rear-ended by a school employee exiting a parking garage. :beatyoass: Everything worked out with that though. So now I'll continue working my two jobs until I find something to get into and with an excess of graduation money, I'll begin resurrecting the Cougar this weekend.
Well enough of that. If anyone knows an available job or is in need of a graphic designer in the MD, PA, DE area, let me know. I'm very well qualified. ;)
Hey,congrats !!!! I don't know of any jobs, but I'd like to hire you take do a little work for me in about 3 months.
congrads,
Woohoo! Another starving artist let loose in the world! Join the club. ;)
Seriously, I know you've been working VERY hard at this. Congrats and I hope you nail down a decent job with your new degree. Be sure to keep us informed!
Congratulations ;) Fred on your BA degree this is a Major accomplishment !! :roxor:
Congrats on the diploma. 5 years is nothing. I hope you got to enjoy some of your college time... cuz now it is work, work, work. No more lolly gagging walking to classess checking out the hotties. LOL.
Congrats man, i want to get into college soon for nursing but i first need to get off of 3rd shift and collect some money.
Congrats on winning the battle!
Thanks a lot guys!
O'reilly. I freelance as well so keep me in mind. I work for car parts as well :hick:
That's what I'm going to miss the most... 3 words... warm - weather - rocks. :ies:
I worked most of the time so I really didn't get to enjoy the whole college scene. I'm really looking forward to being on a 9-5 Monday-Friday type schedule. This 8-8 Monday-Saturday that I've been doing sucks.
Nursing is a good field to get into. Money is a pain. I don't want to even think about the student loans I start paying in 6 months.
congratulations! best wishes for the rest of what life
throws at you!-irv
So ya think the long days are over eh.... you have a lot to learn young grasshopper. 9-5... what the hell is that? Other than a comedy with Dolly Parton. You're probably too young to remember that, though. I hope it all work out for you. Now quit posting here and get your resume out.
Here's to tank top weather! Or a lot of sudden rain and a wet tshirt contest. LOL
finding a job is one of the hardest jobs you will ever have.
Man I feel for you.....going to school and working is tough. I have another year of A&P school, but I licked out. I'm working in the toolroom at Continental Airlines with my foot in the door to work on 737's. We are very proud of you, now get a job and pay your student loans....hahaha
Jason
Congratulations!
Took me 5 +1yr night school - best thing I ever did in my life - changed my life forever!
Thanks guys. I know I have no clue what's in store for me and may have a rude awakening when I land a "real" job. I have a lead and solid connections at one of my jobs with the company where I've been 3 1/2 years. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they have a spot for me.
Congrats :D
One more semester and my ass is done...........till I go back for a masters 6 months later :hick:
Fred, I am proud of you.
Thanks. I'm thinking about going for a masters but not anytime soon which probably means I'll never do it.
Lou, you're crazy. A girl I went to high school with tried to go for her masters immediately after completing college. She ended up giving up for now because the work was just too much... but it was in biomed engineering. She said she'd go back and finish but needs a year off.
I'm going back right away because the city is paying for it (because I work for the city). So free masters=I'm going back right away :D
Congrats i hope all that 5 years of school pays off and helps you out in the long run.
Congrats,
I never had a chance to go to college, but I got me a 9-5 job. ;) LOL
Ahhh, lucky sob.
This stuff better pay off but things are looking good for now. I just got my first big freelance job ;)
Hopefully you get a nice steady job and can do freelance on the side. That would be the best situation :D
cool dude
cool and good luck!
