Is the console ashtray in our cars the same size as a Fox Mustang? I just got a Mustangs Unlimited catalog in the mail & on pg.19 there is a drink holder that plugs into the ashtray. $40 seems a little steep, but it is kind of cool.
Ha! cupholders! I use the space arounf my shifter cause i took the gear indicator off to clean and havent put it back yet.
Im not sure if those will work cause our consoles are sloped not flat like Stangs
well ialways used the center console until i instaled the sable cup holders is the dash
I like my solution :)

I have a picture of what i thought was a dealer installed cupholder... If someone can explain how to post a picture, il show you guys... But the yellow square with the mountain on it, wants a url.
I didn't know Toyota made CD players.
It's not. It's an in-dash cupholder for an 80 Series (I think that's a Land Cruiser). I have the part # somewhere. It's spring-loaded, push-to-open.
This is the cupholder:

Please post the part number. I would be interested. Thats a nice idea. Feel free to post it, or PM it to me.
I'll do you one better. Here's someone who sells it:

If you go to my post just above here you can see some really good pictures of where it normally belongs in the Land Cruiser. Remember, though, that you MUST dremel out an extra half-inch at the back of the sleeve so the tray can extend out an extra half-inch. This is so the cup support arm can clear the lip and extend into the tray area. It's a VERY easy mod.
Sorry, lame attempt at humor by referencing apocryphal story
