I sold some parts on eBay last week since they keep moving the feedback change back (hopefully into never-never land). Well some of these idiot scammers think the change already happened (where seller's can't leave negative feedback for buyers). Well this jerk bid up on an item ($10, ended at $25) and PayPal'd in his payment, with the additional for rush shipping and insurance, immediately. Everything seemed fine until today. Last night I had marked all of the auctions as "items sent" since I packed up the boxes and merely needed to drop them off at the Post Office this morning.
Last night this jerk does a chargeback on his account claiming fraud (like somebody used his account without permission, not fraud on me) over PayPal. It only took 10 seconds to figure out all of his eBay auction wins over the last 6 months were for parts for the same car, so he's obviously lying. Why else would he wait the 3 days until "item shipped" had been announced? I reported his ass to eBay, PayPal, and his credit card company, and banned him from bidding, filed a NPB report, and left a negative. :flame: Stupid scammer, you aren't getting parts for free!
Watch out people! Maybe this will show eBay just how STUPID their new policy is going to be!
Hey Mike ,does everything always go against you?Bye the way where's my part?
No, it's happened about a hundred times this week alone according to the Marketplace forums on eBay. Idiot buyers think the new rules went into place and they can get off scamming sellers scot-free with no repercussions. My other 11 sales went perfect as usual.
I shipped your console surround yesterday, USPS Priority Mail.
How about my parts? ;)
I know how you feel though - I've had people try to blackmail me into not filing non-paying-bidder reports against them, and one even said "and you can't neg me back".
As soon as that stupid policy goes into effect all of my listings will be switched to "Immediate payment required". I'm trying to steer people away from my eBay listings by offering free shipping on website sales, too - it works out the same for me in the end anyway because of eBay's new fees - what I lose in free shipping on my website I make up in fees by not giving eBay the money.
Sorry for the on Ebay.I've been pretty lucky so far.I bought two wheels a few weeks ago,no wheels yet.I made a dispute on Pay-Pal.Monday will be 10 days. They said if he doesn't take care of business by then, they'll refund my money.I'm not worried.Oh,by the way,did my box get shipped as well?
You made a dispute after ten days? Unless you paid for priority shipping that's a pretty shiznitty thing to do...
No,I made a dispute after 2 1/2 weeks, and no communication at all from him.He was in constant contact with me until the day i made payment, then,he disappeared.I sent him a message every other day for the 2 1/2 weeks with nothing from him.I myself understand that it may take a few days to ship something,or even a while for the package to make it to it's destination. Also,"life" happens.Kids, family sick (or dead),vacations out of town, etc.I'm a really easy guy to get along with.Just after that amounbt of time with no response,I figured I needed to do something.
Yeah, if he's blowing you off that's different. Go git 'im
He's blowing me off,and not in a good way.I'm on it like stink on a monkey !!! LOL.
USPS snail mail with no taxes/duties, also yesterday ;)
I couldn't agree more on the fees. Especially with PayPal!
I had something weird happen to me I sold item on ebay. It took the guy 7 days to pay me, I get payment and ship that day. A week later paypal send me email freezing the transaction and doesn't give me any info on why.
I called paypal and the guy asks me some questions I shipped using paypal's ups feature. He says ok and unfreezes everything and that was it ??!! money was back.
people have been doing that ebay scam for years on downloadable software. They would cancel payment through paypal when the reg. # got emailed to them.
I hate scammers.
