Title: My dads new baby
Post by: bhazard on February 01, 2008, 01:12:28 PM
65 Cyclone 289 4v 4spd

The only car he ever bought new. Always wanted another after that.

Went all the way to Georgia for it and paid $3500. Its prolly not worth THAT much *money* but its all about how much its worth to *you*, right?

It starts right up, runs good, and moves.

Heres some pics from before he got it up here. Click for full size pic.

Cool '65. My dad's uncle had a 289 '64 Comet that he bought new. Cool cars indeed.

So, ya have any stock parts from that '64 that you don't need?

Ah man, that's cool.  Imo, the 66-67 Fairlane is one of the shagiest (if not THE shagiest) body styles ever.  So of course, a 65 Comet also ranks right up there!  Very nice.  A few years ago my dad had bought a 66 Comet with a 351C and a top loader 4 speed with a bench seat.  It was awesome, and it did run, but the body was too far gone to be worth it.  Such a shame, with that engine/tranny combo and the fact it was a bench seat car, that would've been awesome.  Be sure to keep us updated as that car progresses.

Nice car, the body is in great shape. I'm sure it needs a floor though.
I would pay that for a car in that shape.

yes, keep us updated on the project.
