All that custom work and you couldn't make up spacers for that sway bar? That's a lotta washers!

J/K, I know it's a mockup, not the final product. You already had one of the finest fox 'Birds I'd ever seen, now it's just INSANE

Ha Ha Ha Ha, that's freakin' awesome. I just noticed that too! Btw, what brand sway bar is that, and how big? In inches if you could! I hate metric!

Swaybar is off my 83 5.0 bird winterbeater. It had a bigger swaybar so I stole it. I just sandblasted it and painted it. i thinks its 1 1/16" or 1 1/4"  Its one of the bigger ones ford made. I'd have have to throw a caliper on it to be sure though. I'll make sure to post more pics as I progress. Still have not recieved my intercooler or blow off valve. I should of never visited http://www.turbomustangs.com

If one turbo is good two must be better :D

I'm sure you've probably mentioned it elsewhere, but what turbos are you using? They look new.

A few of us have been discussing a twin-turbo project privately.. but my inclination was just to try and se up a couple decent TC turbos if I tried it, unless I won the lottery or something. (that would be a hell of a feat considering I don't play it.. heh) And no, it's not based on a 5.0, so your uncommon-ness will remain intact. :D

BTW, The install looks really clean. Is that a Cartech Kit or something else? And is the intercooler going to be front mount and if so how is it going to fit?

Not the first I've seen, but definately the most professional.  Here's the one that I'd seen before:

Along with the other questions, what's the info on your block and internals? Heads? Headers? Turbos? Man, I'm up in Bemidji, now I really need to meet up with you. When do you think you'll have it running?

Looks good Andrew.  Should be tits when it's all done.
What turbos are those?
Title: Re: Twinturbo pictures
Post by: andrew beedle on February 28, 2005, 06:02:47 PM
The turbos are t3's with t4 compressors. I have made everything so far from scratch to save money and keep fit and finish to my specifications. I did alot of research on how to go about doing it with out modiying everything. This was the plan since I put the 5.0 in so I made some different engine mounts to clear the headers when the right header is put on the left and the left header is put on the right. Most of the modification will not be noticible as far as making new a/c lines rotating the power steering pump for clearance, moveing the coil next to the a/c pump. There are a few other minor changes but nothing to difficult. My original intent was to keep all the assecorys wich I have manges to do. I also did not want to cut any sheet metal which manage also. Is all a tight squeeze but it fits and dosent look half ass. sometimes keeping somthing looking simple and clean can bee a difficult task. As far as block and internal it all stock 91 mustang parts. This limits what I  can run my boost at because the limit of the block is around 500 HP or so. I plan to keep it under that to be safe plus my transmission is only rated at 350 ft lbs of torque so slicks wont be seeing the rear end anytime soon. I do plan on putting on a new set of head gaskets and maybe a b303 cam and gear drive timing gears.

man thats a lot of work. its funny alot of ppl dont know ow to hop up a t bird at all. i call around to my local speed shops and try to get advice and they dont know what to tell me. it would be nice if we could get a TBIRDS VERSUS THE WORLD RACE HERE IN STLOUIS. I WOULD LOVE IT .

I slapped down $150 for a cold air and k&n filter installed at a speed shop, I told them it was for a mustang. I got out to my car and pop the hood, and they laugh and me, and tell me not to waste there time anymore and refused to let me buy one.

 that is sick man. I've only seen one other twin turbo efi T-bird, and it ran 6's(1/8th mile)all day long and was daily driven. Remind me to keep money in my pocket if we line up.
