Looks pretty sweet.
differant
eh. i don't care for it too much...
I'll pass.
But at least it has the biggest scoop ever put on a "Mustang".
If the upper grille and scoop were about 8" wider, it would probably look a lot better. Something just seems off there. I think it's unique, anyway.
Look a little better without the 20's...
*barf*
I don't really see the point of using actual panels from a 60's stang. I think that's where they screwed up.
The early Mustang bits are the only thing I liked.
The rest of that car would gag a maggot....
The hood scoop is way too wide. The front bumper is an Eleanor ripoff. bleh
Not the way I would like it but I guess someone does.
Looks good and the rear end is inspiring.
The front end does not flow well with the rest of the car.
Let me rephrase that: I like the way this Mustang adheres better to the early Mustang. I just think they lost their way trying to use actual body parts from an early Mustang instead of starting with a new retro design and new panels.
Just looked at it again and I really like it.
How many times have you said
that at the mall?
Holy ! That thing actually looks like a mustang, not that poor excuse of a car they have now. I hate the 05+ Stangs. Now only if they would actually make it look like a Camaro.
That rear end is inspired, or copied, from the Saleen's. By the looks of it, they used Saleen parts.

I don't think "inspired" is the proper term.....:yuck:
I like it.
There's more than one way to (re) skin a cat, uh, er, stang.

Holy !!! This is a death trap. You take the weakest part of a car in the 60's and substitute it for a part of a 90's car that helps maintain its strength and rigidity. Then you take your front crumple zone and weld in some channel stock. This is Darwin award level stuff.
Has anyone seen a crash test of cars of the 50's and 60's? It's horrible.
The front shock towers on first generation Mustangs are known to come apart with vigorous driving. Only a few tack welds hold them together....
Yes. i've seen what 65, and 68 Mustangs do firsthand when they hit immovable objects. I'm sure when they're done, it will have been beefed up in various areas. I know it's not the first one, where a piece of rectangle tube has been welded inside the unitized rails...IE, like we have in our Tbirds. IMO, I'd go one of these routes instead:

And Here's another that I'm using in my '62 Meteor: http://www.rrs-online.com.au/
Hopefully they'll crash test it first, then build another.
Was goin' to flame the old BORING farts on here, YAWN. Everyone should check out the rest of the site. They are doing a great job keeping allot of the older cars alive, and they have some VERY sweet mopars on the site redone as well. Some are clone cars, but as long as they don't try to pass them off as original, they are very cool.
:cougarsmily: :burnout: :birdsmily:
The S197 Mustangs have more body kits than almost any car made its not hard to make them look good.
Paint and body kit looks nice-would of picked 2 other colors for it
Rims kinda of overkill
Engine bay looks old school and very nice
Quite a few times now i just have to say it under my breath when my gf is with me :D. And yes i was quite aware that the rear end is a variation of the saleen rear.
anyone seen the 03 cobra with a 67 fast back body? they used the cobra interior and everything freaking amazing car!
