I checked it out - it's cool. I especially like how I was so quickly able to get to where I wanted using the drop-down menus.
Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the comments. Thanks to Alex for getting some of the sections ready just in time for launch. Enjoy. :)
Hrrrmmmm....nobody's mentioned that they found the huge new addition yet...
hmm, which new addition?
Search engine?
New Logo?
Sponsor site links (Shriner's, Angels)?
The download section?

That 10th Anny logo is a nice touch. Nice work, guys.
LOL That's my attempt at what would be a nice C-pillar emblem, if I had the money to make them.
Keep looking for the addition...you'll know it when you see it...the page is rather long...
I Know The State Of The Cat Was A Long Page
I particularly enjoyed the Cougars from movies and such...
the about eric page lol
you found the page eric was talking about :)
Close...keep looking...
HEY ERIC!
Only 10 years? Seems like it's been around a whole lot longer than that. Finding the site on Yahoo is most likely the reason I always use Yahoo. I could not find it on any other search engine for what seemed like forever. Happy 10th on the site Dude. Congrats!!!:burnout:
Is it the restoration section?
I think we've run out of huge sections
the MN12 section is lookin pretty big. although if it was there before I would have never needed to go there
Yahoo was VERY good to me for about the first 5 years of the site's existence. Back then it was the #1 player. I remember that it took about 2 hours (on dialup!) to fully categorize the site using Yahoo's system. It was torture. But almost immediately the results came in so it was definitely worth it. At one point nearly half the people I asked had said they found the site on Yahoo's search engine. So you're one of the originals. :)
HINT: Don't look for a section...look for a page (or two). Restoration is close...actually this page will help greatly with restoration and eventually will be linked to it...
If its help for restoration, I would have to say the parts # page.
and its new
That has to be it. There is a "NEW" tag next to those and you
know it took a lot of work to put all that together!!
Thanks Eric!!
This is like trying to find Waldo. lol
Yup, you guys got it. Only took me 2 years of my life to compile that. ;)
I have never seen such a fantastic parts list for any other type of vehicle on the web. Mustang guys have something to be jealous about....;)
LOL Thanks. I got most of the info from crash sheets and it seems to be mostly correct. There are a few things that don't jive well to me...they have to be mistakes but I have no way to corroborate that yet, so for now, what's there is the best known list of part numbers available. Also, I'm sure Brent has access to more things than I do. Hopefully in the future we can get together and fill in some of the blanks, double-check things, etc. It's going to be a "work in progress" probably for a few more years and input is always appreciated.
I had a few goals with the part number pages: first and foremost, to make sure that everyone can communicate with some base of reference. Now you understand why I say things are different; the part numbers tell a good deal of every part's story. Second, so that people looking up part numbers for our cars on the Internet will find that page for verification/legitimacy. Third, so that people with mobile devices that have Internet capability can access that page at any time, in case something needs to be checked, say, at a swap meet or on an eBay auction. I'm thinking about (finally) doing a mobile-only version of the site and those part number pages are the top priority. Eventually I'd like to add some photos where possible.
The crash sheets are the same ones you can occasionally find on eBay. There are reference drawings on them, but they're way too small to effectively scan. Same for the part numbers; they were just too small for any OCR program to pick up. So those are all input by hand...hey, I'm Catholic so I'm used to ic things. Oh wait...shouldn't have said that. Another thing on the list to burn in hell for LOL. I started the 1983-86 page two years ago (January 2006). It was finished on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 then I copied the page to use for 1987-88 part numbers. Oddly, it only took another 2-3 hours to complete that page. I didn't expect to have both pages completely finished for the relaunched site but luck apparently was on my side.
So...use the living out of those pages. That's what they're there for. :D
"So...use the living out of those pages. That's what they're there for."
This turned into top notch page!!
I was doing a google search on Ford rear gas caps, and the coolcats concept cars page popped up. Excellent!!!!.....I learned something new today.
That is awesome Eric. I remember years back before i joined the board in High school screwing around on the computers in English reading up on the foxes and checking out pictures that were posted on cool cats instead of doing my assignments.
