These pics were taken right after the 5 lug swap and a couple of some damage that was done. The drivers side was compliments of a P/U that rolled backwards.  The passenger side is the result of my car meeting with a deer in fog @ 25 mph. Very slight wrinkle in top of fender.

I was trying to see if I could get rid of some holes, but a stick welder isn't good at doing that.  I keep making the holes bigger :hick:

Filling in the holes is pretty easy I saw this trick on TV he used a rod that was like half copper and bronze I think and just used a torch, in this case a MIG torch lol.  But i have done it with an oxy acetylene torch.  You could probibly get more info on powerblocktv.com Lou on the Muscle car show did it to fix some swiss cheese on that le mans he's restoring.  I have also head of people using a copper disc with a rod welded to it, for manuverability with welding gloves on, and just putting the disc on the back side of where you're welding the puddle wont stick to the copper so you can fill it in pretty nicely, seen it done but never tried it, also i'm not sure if it was copper but i think so.

Eventually I'll use it. I'll need to gather the related parts for it and build the engine to handle it. But the way I'm draggin :shakeass:  on the whole project, it'll probably be a long time before that happens.

capitlj, I have a Dent-fix that I'll use to weld studs to the pieces of sheet metal so I can hold them in place while I weld 'em in.  But thanks for the tip anyway, ya, I saw that show too. God I'd love to have that kind of unlimited budget and that much work space  Then to work next to that little blonde that does the extreme 4X4 show   (shame on me)

would lead be a good filler for the holes?

daboss351, I returned your pm :D  I'm not on my own puter right now. It's my friends :D

Chooglin, I wouldn't personally use lead, there's other stuff on the market, and some stuff I have, that will work just as well if not better than lead. The stuff I have can be drilled and tapped. I just need to quit draggin:shakeass:  and get my house completly finished so I don't have the better half (?) on my:shakeass:

Use a penny clamped in a pair of needle nose pliers on the back side, then just go around the edges of the holes with small tacks til it is filled.  Then clean of the weld with a wire brush and fille the backside with weld, then grind off.  done.
