We had a hell of a wind storm here last night that dropped a few branches around the house, and a big one just had to hit the coug. Maybe he didn't like my new sig. :dunno: LOL.

I probably had the same windstorm as well. I have mine parked on the West side of 3 huge poplar trees. Lucky for me the wind always comes from the West, and throws the branches at the log sauna house instead. Sux to be you, though.
I wish it only got the hood, as I dont care for it. I was planning to put the stock hood on this weekend anyways. For now I will pull the fender off this weekend and pound the dent out and skim it with body filler until I can afford a new fender.

Dents suck, pass. side of mine has a dent in it that is shaped remarkably identical to my ex-buddie's face. He's got a matching dent in his jaw from the bead of the snowflake wheel just below said dent..

I was inside the car installing my headliner. The wife said it was getting time for dinner and generally i would have just asked her to make me a plate and set it to the side. usually i like to just keep on going till im done but on this day i decided to knock off. 20 min later this happened.
Back in my earlier years of marrage while in the navy, we lived in these duplex type homes. The owner of the property had half of this tree fall and total my next door neighbors geo metro. a year later to the month, my car was taken out by the same tree.
When it hit my car, it was no longer an act of god so his insurance took care of me. I made a lot of money on that car and in combo with selling back some vaction days to the navy, i got the car in my sig.
that'll buff right out...

Now that one is worse than mine. I only got hit by big branches. Got my roof, right quarter, right door top a bit, back glass, both front fenders and hood. I thought for a year that I could get the roof and quarter fixed, but let two bodyshop friends both tell me I could replace the car easier than fix the roof.
5 years later and still haven't been able to.
Have $$$, no cars.
No $$$, cars pop up.....

welp, I sorta fixed it enough for my likings, until I can get a new fender and get it painted. Spent a few hours today with the hammer and dolly, and polishing a new signal light....

as for the body work, I will take the fendeer right off next weekend and do a better job, then sand it down and paint it.
I was going to ask if it was possible to save the fender. I figured you could pound out the dent and smooth it with out having to get a new fender (as they are hard to find not rusted).
its not worth saving, it has started to rust through at the stiffener brace (where they all do).... I quickly fixed it for CJ but it came through, so I will replace it with a new one, while I am at it I will add my scoops to the fenders of it too...
