so easy a caveman can do it:D >thats my boy:bowdown:
He did it all, i did all the grunt like fetch tools and hold the light.
teach em young!
I hate it when people hold the light for me.....they shine it on what they are looking at and not what I am doing. Ask Carl, it really me off. Its the time when a third arm would be real handy!
Brian
Can't wait till my son is old enough to do that kind of stuff. Actually, all of them.
you aint worked with me then,, its like a surgical freaking operation. "whatcha need""got it""light ok?""good""ill hold that""ok""Got it""light ok here? good""need another tool?, ok, here ya go""got it""need a beer? got it":D
Now there's another wanna be mechanic in the works let's get down and dirty together. lol
I WISH I could find someone to work in the garage with me that was like that. I'd probly have more hair or something.:toilet:
Brian
Isn't he a bit young for beer?;)
BTW what was wrong with your ball joints? You just bought the 20th and you're already fixing stuff:hick:
i was hearing noises that sounded like ball joints. Poping and occasional rew reww rew reww. I sprayed wd40 along pivit points to make it go a way and it didnt.
I felt around while mason moved the front end up and down and found a squeek dead center of each ball joint. Squeek is gone but the main reason for doing the ball joints "POPING" stil remains. I gotta figure out what that is.
the rotors / bearings are new and i think the calipers are farily new as well. I was glad I got this done anyway, they were shot. Ill inspect the tie rods next go around, I didnt disconnect them for balljoints though, wish i had because i could have push in and out ect for slop.
The poping noise is familiar as it turned out on my other car the plastic fender skirt was binding then poping along the front edge of my fender. On this car, i forgot to check that.
Just cause i just got it doesnt mean it doesnt need anything,,lol.
control arm bushings or strut bushings.
i was thinking control arm bushings. i hope not though,i havent done those yet. Looks like a total pita. Now ill have to buy or fab up a spring compressor.
is that two bolts or one that pass through on the control arm. forgot to look close and i dont know.
I wish I could keep my son in the shop long enough to get him to do that. He is almost 9. He sure can fix a bike pretty good. Looks like you have a nice mechanic there. Nice work. Don't go bitchin at us when he builds some knarly hot rod of a 1st car.
he wants a tc but i took that money and got the 20th,, ask me if i feel bad:shakeass: i borrowed some for the 20th and some of the tc combined.
Now THAT'S some fine home schoolin' :burnout:
