I would. But I'm bias. I love the seats, the motor, and just the over all look and color of the car.  Are they asking $700? I'd start at $500 and see if they'll take it.

Tom that looks like a solid car.  To have such a nice roller to start with is worth $700.  I'm guessing the motor doesn't matter to you as more than likely you will have it out and rebuilt.

$700 for that?

Hell yes I'd buy it!

And then drop in a 351 :)

LOL, I sure wouldnt be posting those pics if I havent bought it yet. I assume its from down your way, rust free car? I HATE that interior color, but would drive down there Saturday with $700.00 for the body / chassis if it is as solid and unmolested as it looks.

Hi Bob

It's setting in my back yard... Belongs to my car lot buddy(he bought it at auction)... I still haven't committed to it, but it's mine unless I tell him to come get it... Gonna check it out and see why the engine is apart... Has some rust in the bottom of the doors, but someone that knows what their doing could fix them... Otherwise it's 99% rust free...

As far as original, its a total virgin... I ain't seen one this original in years...

Me either. Like I said, that interior color would have to grow on me, but that upholstry is available re-pop. hmmmmmm virgin ;)

Throw a nice little 347 (or 331) / AOD / 8.8 in there and go have some fun. Keep it carbed and run a plate shot for grins and giggles. A mild 347 / AOD with a 4:10 or 4:30 will do 12.50's at 110 ish all day in bracket trim. One of my buddies bracket races the same combo, its real mild, and he sure isnt leaning on it, lots of sand in the hatch of his car ;)

BTW - I figured you had it locked down ;)

Actually wouldn't that have had those fancy scripted Aluminum valve covers??  Maybe someone just took them?  Maybe they were taking the headers off too?  Who knows maybe the engine is good and someone was just robbing parts.. or maybe it sat in a junkyard and someone was robbing parts?

Valve covers and air cleaner are in the car... Forgot to post that picture(somehow it became a MN12 interior shot LOL) Actually you can see a little of them in the passenger floor... Air cleaner is in the back...

Grab it!  Of course I am a bit biased with my recent purchase.

And as for the price...  It looks to be in about the same shape as mine, and is the same price.

So, the undercarriage and strut towers are in good shape?
Has it ever been wrecked?

I think $700 is a hell of a good price for that car. I would seriously consider picking it up if it was in my backyard.
It's nice that it isn't a t-top or sunroof car, too. You're all set for structural integrity.
Also, I love the interior (except for the steering wheel).

I would like to find a coupe in good shape.  But I tell you they did not make Mustangs as good as the T-bird.  They seem to wear out fast.

well. im in thats a virgin car. if it's never been wrecked. your all set. besides 4 barrels and a 5 speed. white. untouched. you have even said it yourself you dont see them. keep that baby good and clean.

a comon problem on those with the holley is that they are a pain in the ass to start but is iffy some do it some dont. my brothers black 83 does it . his 84 parts car didnt and both werent messed with  and the black ones carb has been rebuilt. so maybe thats a reason things are kinda apart.
