Title: Throttle body spacer
Post by: AKBirdy on June 11, 2007, 08:50:11 PM
Ok, So a friend of mine (a mustang guy) gave me a 1 inch throttle body spacer and gaskets for my 88 5.0 T-bird.  He said to take out the Air horn that quiets the air intake which I did, then install the spacer, then bump up timing to around 12-14 degrees.  He said this wull up my ponies around 15 or so.  Is this true?.  I have done the air silencer already, I just want to know if the spacer is a good idea and will it actually be worth it?.  Its just sitting on my work bench waiting to be installed if its worth it.  Has anyone installed a Throttle body spacer before, it looks really simple, are there any hidden tricks or is it really a true Bolt on?.
