It seems everyone here wants to lower their cars. i just want mine back up where it belongs...lol. how difficult is it to change rear springs?? is this something i should have a pro do? I don't have alot of money, but i can't stand the sag.
changing rear springs is easy. have the rear of your car on jack stands, support the rear end, undo your shocks, and lower the rear then remove the springs and install the new ones and reverse the process. very easy
cool, thanks. i hope this won't sound stupid, but i was afraid of the springs shooting out.
that happens on the front, with the rear the springs arn't under constant pressure, and when you jack up the car it lets preasure out
I've changed mine in less than 15 minutes....no lie,it's that easy.Just unbolt the top nut on the shocks and lower the rear.I had my car up on jackstands already and used a floor jack to lower and raise the rear.
what points would be best to support the body?
When I took the rear springs out of my car I supported it by the small section of subframe rail in front of where the front of the rear lower control arm attaches to the body. You'll see it.
same here, I also used that spot when I did my CHE's and my fuel pump
cool, thanks. i'm going to sart calling around for prices on springs.
