Submit your claim in a reply with photo proof of the timeslip. We need 60', 1/8 plus MPH, 1/4 plus MPH, and track at a bare minimum. Also the mods to your car, and weather conditions (at least air temp). I'll update the list constantly. I think at the end of the year I'll do some awards for the "Best of's" in 2007. For the sake of getting it off of the ground, I'll take any 2006 slips to start off and establish some baselines. My "agenda" for doing this is that if things workout, Aerobird Motorsports should be renting Portland International Raceway for a day for a TBird/Cougar showdown, car show, and BBQ. Some come on, I expect a few slips by the end of today from last year!

Some of us only race 1/8" mi....

But to make it official, the TC will be getting a 331 in the next couple of months.... Maybe I'll make a trek to VMP for a 1/4 mi time run...

I could do an 1/8 mile list too, but it would rock to have your 1/4's after the 331 anyways :D

Well if I can get my car done in time this year and if I make it to a track, it should put up some decent numbers.

ported GT40p heads
ported Explorer intake
E-303 cam w/ RR's
T-5
3.55's

It better run low 13's or I'll be pissed

It might not quite count as a tow vehicle but I'm pretty sure I'll be driving a Srt-10 Ram by spring/summer. I'm Getting rid of the Titan, it would be nice to run it at the track first, though. My friend with the Srt-10 and I are trading so he would probably go there with me anyways

I think it runs high 6's or low 7's.  IIRC its a Pro 5.0 car.

That car is BAD@$$!! I subscribe to MM&FF just waiting for a feature on it. I know it's an ex Pro Stocker but she REALLY had it updated. I think it's 6-second legal now. A VERY nice car.

I'll have to find the time slip. It should be in the old car.
Here is the info. Take it for what it is. I'll find the proof if needed.

fastcat  3660 lb car  Fall @ Beech Bend Raceway( Bowling Green Ky)
Temp 70  degrees Humidity 80%,  I'll have to find slip to find out 1/8 mile times

 1.68  60ft time  Foot brake

 10.90  1/4 mile E.T.
 126.5  1/4 Mile MPH
 351W /T70 turbo/AOD/3.27 gears

The car was driven 62 miles to the track and driven 62 miles home. This run was on slicks.

Yeah Buddy, turbo cars love a higher gear 3.27,3.55. They stay in the boost longer that way. I know a kid here in Wichita that has a 96 cobra with 70mm turbo,5spd,3.55 and runs about what you run
10.90's at 130 sumthing. Its awsome to watch them take off with the tires chattering when the boost really comes in,he has to let out of it most of the time because the track sucks. But your #1 in my book. I say post him on the list!!

:D:D:D

I guessed on the year so if I could have some more info please fastcat? Year, trim (LS, XR7, GS) and if you could find the slip so I could get the 3rd digits on all the times that would rock. Enjoy being #1.

It's been awhile but here's mine... 12.23 on 225/50/16 Nitto DRs with a 85 shot of the happy juice. Best on the motor is 13.11@105.3 on 225/50/16 Michelin radials... I've never equaled that 1.900 NA 60ft... Guessing they slipped just enough to get up on the converter a bit harder...

Haven't been on a 1/4mi track lately, but it ran quicker 1/8mi times than 8.42 last spring(1/8 mi on the 13.11 run). Went 8.40 on a slower 60ft(1.93 I believe) but ran 83.xx, unfortunately I don't seem to have those slips..

Id say I hit a nerve there, the car I used was fn trashed.Had probably
100k miles on dirt roads, massive hail dents, paint was fading and peeling off,the pass floor was soaked from the fornicateed weather strip, pretty much coolant and water, then when I drove it home the abs didnt work, and when I held the brakes too long the wiring under the dash fried. What else did I leave out,oh I put the frontend on my car 87 t-bird,sold the rear to a guy for a cougar, engine, harness, vam, tranny, rad, electric fans, went to stang, still have doors, driveshaft, trim pieces, and rear glass.
It was like a organ donor.

If the car's rotted/totaled it's rotted/totaled. That's OK. It's the nice cars, the fixable cars, that bug the snot out of me.

On another note, fastcat's time is staying at #1. Since he's reusing the engine, tranny, rear end, front and rear suspension, air-ride, and othe stuff in #2 it's basically the same car only with a cage and no rust. Until #2 goes faster, #1 is #1.

BDBIRD and daboss, find me more members with slips, I can't PM them all!

That is all.

Awesome! I remember when you did that. Just to clarify, I used a different 1/8 to 1/4 calculator so I could get MPH too, and I will use it on anybody with only 1/8 times (so the calculations are consistant). (TurboCoupe50, if you have some better 1/8's post them up and I'll calculate). I do need to know what tranny you had behind the 429.

This is my last full throttle pass with me driving the Gray 83 Bird. April 2006. The next pass I won the big one. First points race of the year. Points, cash and a 3 ft trophy. This is my wife's bracket racer. She let me drive it that night because my 84 lo-po Bird wasn't ready yet. THIS IS NOT THE QUICKEST PASS IN THE GRAY BIRD. (See below). It is the only timeslip I could find. It auto-shifts at 4250 rpm. LO-PO vintage 1977 460, small cam, cast iron exhaust manifolds, 600 Carter, 3.73 gears, 28 inch rears, stock 77 police car C-6. Very stock, very strong, and very consistent! I really love this car!! I have lost count of the number of wins and r/ups since April 1997.  Best et with manual shifting at 4500 rpm (it has stock 1977 rod bolts and valve spings after all) it ran a 8.60 at 82.8 mph. Car weighs 3550 with me in it. --X

Title: My LO_PO 84 Bracket/everyday Bird
Post by: 83-88T-Bird Guy on February 13, 2007, 01:23:40 PM
This is my 84 Slow-Bird. It has E6 py heads, Lincoln Town Car (86-90 ?) P.O.C. engine that shifts at 4200 (because that is where it runs out of breath). It has 3.45 rear gears, stock A.O.D., Carter 600, stock 84 Mustang H.O. intake, duraspark dist. with a  GM H.E.I. ignition module, MSD Blaster 2 coil, Stock H.O. Stainless headers, H-Pipe. The car is very reliable but not as predictable to dial in and therefore has cost me several late reces. But I have learned to race (and win) as well as loose in a slow car!!    THIS TIMESLIP SHOWS WHAT HAS ONLY HAPPENED TWICE IN MY LIFE--IDENTICAL PACKAGES AND THE COMPUTER TOOK IT OUT TO THE 1/10000 OF A SECOND!!!!  The first time happened around 2000 or 2001.  Ironically, both runs were against the reigning track champion!!  This car was bought from a local charity organization with antifreeze in the oil pan for $ 280.00. One of the greatest buys for me yet. I love this car also, but not nearly as much as the Gray Bird or T. Coupe.

Birdman, the mph looks weird because the chin spoiler got the beam. (It took me years to learn that trick) I normally run 68 -69 mph with this car.  The 87 T.C. has not been to the track yet.  The 83 Heritage is waiting her turn with my wrenches. Haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking 351W for it.:D

alignhone, balance, new pistons weigh 60grams or so less than other ones. So thus I had to balance the rotating assembly.Heads are getting 3angle.studs,guideplates,roller rocker, roller cam, custom grind
for more duration on exaust, because of huge intake valves.
Going to get converter figured out next, then I will be at the top of the list again. Until then remember,WINTER FKN SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im reviving this thread because I dont want it to die, lol.

And your 4x4 can go... climb a rock or something.

I would love to get back to the track, but we have been having February weather in April. In fact it was 10 degrees warmer on Christmas than it is right now. I also really want to get a new fuel pump in before I get to the track. Premium being $3.02 a gallon at the cheapest doesnt help either, being that I need at least half a tank of gas to launch hard without the car dying.

Man I wanna get back up to the track so bad. This gas thing is just killing it though. Probably close to $40 for a half a tank of premium and $20 to race, then probably another $20 in gas just to get back home and have gas in the tank to drive on. It just aint happening :(

The car needs some maintenance item taken care of too... Its about due for an oil change, and needs a tuneup as well.

I went to the track today. I hate even posting my numbers, but I will anyway. I'm still not really use to the car since I don't drive it much. I still need to take care of the brake issue, and 2nd grinds a little because of the synchro going. I'll try to get the slip posted asap, hopefully this week at work. Anyway, the car SHOULD be in the 13's, but I need to learn how to hook up the tires. I won't run slicks, I consider that a bit of cheating, jus my opinion, I think if you can do it at the track, you should be capable of doing it on the street (No, I might play a little, but I would not race on the street, it's just crazy). Just a stupid rule (no slicks) I've had for myself. Ok, ok...Here are my AWFUL #'s for 265 hp at the rear wheels car: Oh yea, I'm street legal w/modded 302. No adders.
60 foot - 2.316
1/4 - 15.249
mph - 89.97

I actualy let someone else drive to see if they could do any better, and they did not. So.....maybe......I need to buy a pair of drag radials next time. Sure would have helped ALLOT. Yes, it was a bit depressing after being SO EXCITED at the chance just to go. I know, quit whinning and buy some slicks. Yes, I am considering that for the future also.

Your MPH doesn't indicate it. That MPH is right on the money for a 15.0/14.9 if you can get at least a 2.1 60'. I honestly don't think DR's will help unless your really spinning a TON down the track which messed with your MPH. (The GTO will do 14.0's @100 with tire spin, 13.3's @108 with a good launch)

IRS SUCKS for drag racing. And 245/45/17 BFG KDW's aren't big enough either. Every LS2 stock GTO I've ever seen with NO MODS at all except DR's cracks off 12.6's-12.8's with a decent driver.

The very next set of mods is wheels/tires. 245/45/17 KDW II fronts, 275/40/17 KDW II rears on 17" AR TTII (with painted centers) OR Vintage 40's depending on $$$. The brakes are going out from the 100+ drag passes and 33K miles of DDing so they will be done at the same time.

I imagine simply upsizing to the 275's and having the stickier tire will help immensely, and possibly crack 12's in full street trim. We also have the Hurst shifter on order, and a K&N in the car now. Depending on how the 275's do, we'll go "drag race mode" and pull the spare/jack/insulation/skidplates/spoiler/floormats and dump the airbox and headlight to go for the magic #.

I think I have to say this.

Im not in love with the idea of converting an 1/8th timeslip to a 1/4 and using that...

Simply because its not that accurate.

I ran my 1/8th ET and MPH through your calculator and...

Your 1/4 Mile ET is 15.84 seconds computed from your vehicle 1/8th ET of 10.1533 seconds.
Your 1/4 Mile MPH is 90.28 MPH computed from your vehicle 1/8th MPH of 72.81 MPH.

The calculated ET is a whole .4 seconds slower, and the MPH is 2 mph lower than my actual 1/4 numbers.

At LEAST note next to the entry that it was a calculated 1/4 ET and MPH.

Or have a separate list for 1/8th mile runners.

Just my opinion. This has been bugging me for a while now though. I just feel that you shouldn't be on the top 25 1/4 mile runners list if you haven't actually run a 1/4 mile.

Title: Foxtbirdcougarforums Top 25 ET List!
Post by: TurboCoupe50 on June 28, 2007, 08:18:21 AM
My vote is use it... Its an acceptable sub till you can get a real 1/4 run... Most conversions are generally slower than actual times, because they are set up using better prepared cars than the average street vehicle... Mine said 13.19@102...

With this info you get a idea how shiznitty your 60ft times really are, as compared to optimum... Which ain't always possible(practical) for a daily driver...

3 new times for tonight ;)

Ted's Caddy-Bird went at least a 13.632@102.50 (fastest slip I have for him) for 10th Overall and 4th in Big Block. I even ran a 13.9@101 myself in it ;) Ted even got 2.0 60's!

Jim's 100% stock 5.0 SO Bird went 17.50@78 for last, but it was very consistent and looks great going down the track.

Layla went 15.252@90.89 for 18th (19th with Ted in there) just .01 behind yellowcougar. Good for 4th on the TC list ;) John ran twice and got a 15.60 with her too. 2.353 60' is good for 22nd. We had a LOT of wheelspin :D:D Got some nice photos hazing the tires down to the 330' :D

Timeslips and updates up in the morning ;)

Fuzzy pic, but we have the slips and witnesses ;)

Ted's CaddyBird -
60' - 1.893
1/8 - 8.451@83.11
1/4 - 13.185@103.97

Ted's CaddyBird with me driving -
RT - .021
60' - 1.870
1/8 - 8.528@81.41
1/4 - 13.323@102.85

John's GTO -
60' - 1.988
1/8 - 8.494@84.84
1/4 - 13.098@106.91

Layla -
60' - 2.353
1/8 - 9.822@71.67
1/4 - 15.252@90.89

Jim went a 17.50@78 but he has all of his slips. Hopefully we'll get a pic from him soon ;)

Ted also has about 35 slips floating around, so a better 1/8, 60', and MPH are all possibilities. Not to mention a clearer shot of the 13.185! :hick:

No, the other lists stay. How else will the V6's cars know where they stand? Or TC's for that matter?

Only the "Overall" will stay at 25. All the individual lists will be rung out as long as we have members entering them.

Sorry guys, Im a bit slow to join in here. I dug up my old slip of 12.11

Heres an old pic from that run...

Mods at the time of the run were:

306ci, Windsor Jr heads, Comp cams NX264 cam, 24lb'ers, Explorer intake, 125 wet shot, AOD lockup converter, 3.73's, Nitto Drag radials, and a not so great tune.

Added! Check out the stats:

It takes a 12.10 to get into the Top 5, a 13.03 to get into the Top 10, a 13.83 for the Top 15, a 14.39 for the Top 20, and a 15.52 to make it in the 25 at all!

10's - 1
11's - 3
12's - 5
13's - 6
14's - 6
15's - 4

It takes a 1.82 60' for the Top 10 there!

Chrome302jr, great run
how did the nx264 cam run without the juice?
Was thinking of that cam for speed density also.
 Thanks,

The cam runs okay while not on the spray. Its been a few yrs back, but the reason I bought the cam was because of the wide lobe separation angle, I believe its 116. At the time I was running speed density, so I needed the wide LSA to give me vacuum. However, with 24lb injectors, the tune was too rich at idle and too lean at WOT with SD. I switched to a 75mm ProM MAF and the tune was much better. I tried to hold off switching to MAF as long as possible, but in the end lost. :D

If you plan to run the NX264HR cam with 19lb injectors on SD, I believe you will be okay. But dont plan to run 24lb injectors. Depending on what you setup is, 19lb injectors should be fine anyway. I think I could get away with running 19lb injectors, I've thought about switching back.

Thanks for the heads up on the cam. If speed density stays or goes it seems like it's good all around. Great info you have there.

Next closest track is over an hour away and i dont have a trailer so no more racing for me guess ill take it back to tha skreet........

Hey man, I hope you read this post cause I gotta say:  your car is what first inspired me to stick with my Tbird and start making it go fast and look cool.  Back in the boring high school computer classrooms a few years ago, I happened to stumble upon your cardomain page and that's what started it all.  I showed all my friends and said "That's how my car will be."  Even the way I wanted my dual exhaust to look originated from when I saw that page.

Anyways, sorry to sound stupid or whatever, but I needed to give credit where credit is due.

Back on topic, it looks like I have some work to do.  I've been way bumped off the top 25 list.  Lame :toilet: .  I'm hoping my next few small upgrades (electric fan, underdrive pulleys, Explorer Intake, possibly some 3.27 gears, and a shift kit) will get me into low 15s.  High 14s is what I'm aiming to get with the car as it is now before I build the new engine many years down the road (hey, I can dream :hick: ).

I had allot of practice driving in the snow with allot of junky looking cars when I was MUCH younger. I like it that it tends to get rid of SOME of the terrible drivers, but a few very slow ones still seem to make it out. I've had two different years where I was the only rear wheel drive car to show up for work because of how bad it was. The yellwo 86' has seen allot.
Yes, most tracks up north close for the winter up here. Here's a few links if you want to see.

Somebody else take it over, I'm out. Screw the attitude of the a-holes that run this place (except Carm, he's always treated me fairly). Go ahead and throw a party Eric, Chuck, and Brent.

So, I'm an asshole now?  Interesting.

Not sure where you got that I "hated" you, but whatever you need to do.  I've always thought you to be a bit of a drama queen( This post is a prime example of that), and a bit excitable, but that's about it. That has been more amusing than anything.

Do what you want Michael.  You're an adult and if you don't want to hang out here any more, for whatever reason, then just leave and leave it at that.

About what I thought it would run. Not bad for a 4 door economy car with an automatic. Intercooler and proper intake and exhaust would help a lot I bet.

Best time with the old Cougar (all Black). The other car we put together for "Pinks AllOut" that didn't make it off the trailer.

Took it to the local 1/8 mile track. Last night
Setup is a 420 CI Windsor  Carb with C4 with Trans brake, 4.10 gear
The following runs were on a 275/60/15 M/T Drag Radial

1.54 60 ft    N/A          1.52    100 Shot
7.32  1/8                    6.95

Title: Another Slopoke run
Post by: t.birdsc on November 10, 2008, 01:57:26 AM
Slopoke went to the track again for the 2nd time. :flame:  The car was run without the supercharger during this trip.  New mods were  Edelbrock intake, 70mm bbk throttle body, Kirban regulator, underdrive pullies, a different distributor, new cap, rotor, wires, and no air filter. Much to my suprise the vehicle ran a little faster. Run #1 the timing, iirc, may have been at 10 deg. and launched from a dead stop. Runs #2 and #3 were not as good during power brake launches. One time the track guy had to make me back up during staging because the car was creeping forward. Before #3's launch, the timing was advanced and it felt like it had more power out of the hole, but when it hit third it was knocking and losing power. #4 last run was a regular launch with the timing back down a bit. The next day the timing was found to be at around 16 deg. There is still much improvement to be made and I'll post a thread with some car and engine picks but none from the track. Btw, the weather was perfect!

thanks guys, this was the first time out to the track and it only had 350 miles on it since i got it running. yeah i let up pretty bad, the fastest mph was actually 104 on another slower slip. i only had first and second, so second was pegged at about 6000-6500 towards the finish and thats about when i would let up. i had a real bad time with traction too. i got a feeling with slicks, 4.11 or 4.55's and all four gears, it should wake up even more  but yeah, im totally excited  :D

You want enough rear gear so HP peaks in 3rd just before you hit the finish line...

Yesterday I did my best NA time of 11.909@116.5mph.  I picked up almost 7 mph and .4 faster.  I was a little disappointed with my 1.79 60' times but maybe I can work this out next week-end.

Very busy at the track in Seattle (Pacific Raceway) and I only got in two runs so I was not able to test with NOS yet this year.

But the Cadillac 500 felt very strong and I feel there more to find.

I'm please with the first run of the year.  If the weather is good I will go down to Portland tomorrow night and try my luck there.  I have the NOS all figured out so it will work now (had a bad relay).  With the new front end I should be around a 1.6 in the 60' and I kind of need to figure this out NA first but this won't keep me from making at least one run with the NOS.  Last year I ran 11.45 with the 100 hit and with the new lower time NA I should be close to 10.

Ted,

I hope you have good weather and can get some runs in to get it sorted out.  10's on the gas should be a given, providing it hooks.

A 1.6 60' time would be kinda slow on the gas (or even N/A).  What does your rear suspension consist of?

Don't know if you're aware, Team Z does have rear suspension parts to fit a T-Bird.  His relocated upper's are a bit different and work exceptionally well.  If your interesed, it would be best to E-mail Dave, as I don't believe his website lists specifics for T-Birds.  A former member here (I believe it was BadBird) had all of Dave's stuff before he parted the car out.

I have his complete set up on my Mustang and am very pleased with the parts, service and performance.  None for my T-Bird though, that one goes around corners!

Went to Portland Last night. It was raining all day in Olympia but the weather in Portland looked good on the internet and I took a chance on the 100 mile drive.

The weather was cool, about 50, but dry. There were only about 50 or less cars there and the people were nice. I told the tech guy that I wanted a through check-out and he went over everything and only found that I should have put a little more padding on my roll bar down the side by my head. I put some on the top and side bar but they also want it to come down the side to the cross bar. All other items he said were perfect and he had no problems. Great to hear.

On the first run I was second in line behind a low 10 second Fox Mustang. I firgured he would call him and the car next to him so I did not have it started and warm. but he called the Mustang and the T-bird. I did a very nice burn out and but when I took off the line it bogged bad and I ended up with a 2.426 60' time, 12.568et but I still ran 115.45 mph so it took off good once it decided to go.

The second run (less than 10 minutes later) I did my burn out but went sideways again so it was not as good. But it did not bog and grabbed with a 60' of 1.666. My 1/8 was 7.558@92.44 and the quarter was 11.787 with 115.59. Much better run and the best I have done NA. It also raised quite a bit on the driver's side but not the right so I have so tuning to do to the rear suspension.

At the end of this run I looked down and I had zero oil pressure. Car sounded good and I thought maybe it was just a sending unit but I did not push it and did not get any more runs. I bet I could of had 20 plus runs this night if not for the bad luck.

Turns out my oil pick-up broke and it was lucky I shut it down and had a pressure gauge. I got if fixed today and can't wait to go again. One of these days I will turn on the gas.  There was no metal in the pan or the pump so I hope all is okay.

At least at 1.66 I'm getting there.

Nice job catching the low oil!  Glad to hear there was no damage.

An ARB may be the best addition to straighten out the launch.  With your fabrication skills, putting one in should be doable.

You're chasing down on last years best nitrous pass natually aspirated.  Pretty amazing, with no changes to the engine itself.  That's exciting stuff!

I took the bird up to Lebanon Valley Dragway in NY on Saturday. Ran a best of 14.02@ 98mph. I was running 3.45 gears, 7.5 rear with trac lok, bald all season street tires, and about 7 pounds of boost on my stock SO motor with a Powerdyne blower. I have a TCI AOD with a 3000 stall converter. I had to launch very gently. Car has full interior, sub box, and trailer hitch.

How do you launch and how were your tires? I'm surprised because I had to roll onto the throttle with my bald drift tires. I used my left foot to hold the brake while i tried to hold around 1300 rpm. Any more and it would get sideways and kill the times. The freshly rebuilt trac-lok must have helped. I have since bought a set of used drag radials on craigslist and am almost done converting from supercharged to a turbo. If its ready by saturday im gonna head back to the track. One foot on the brake, one hovering over the gas, engine at idle. Third yellow comes on and I lift my left foot off the brake and slam my right foot to the floor. It usually results in wheel slippage/sideways action. This is on 225/55/16 Firestone Firehawks. I haven't run with the new heads yet (only with the GT40Ps) but I'm pretty sure they are going to make things worse. I'm hoping to get to the track next Friday night to find out :).

I used to use that same technique with similar results. You should try my new method. It seems to be working better.

No, no, no, not even on drag radials...

Even on street tire I roll through the water, burn them to dry and roll SLOWLY to the line to cool the tires and pickup some traction compound... When staged, I hold brake, bring the revs to around 1200-1500, release the brake on last yellow and roll into the throttle... How quickly will determine on multiple factors, you'll have to learn your car...

Using the above, I've pulled best of 1.87 with the Marauder on the factory BFGs and 1.89 - 1.91 are easy...

Thats pretty much how I was launching, but I drive around the water and skip the burnout when I'm on street tires.

It still works, but won't shift under very heavy acceleration. It also shutters sometimes when taking off from a stop. It was a TCI Streetfighter Trans and converter. Gonna try a different Trans builder this time. The new tranny im getting is rated for 700HP with a 2 year warranty. Not sure if I should spend the extra and replace the converter as well.

I would get a new converter. The old one is probably full of junk from the now dead AOD.

well just got around to posting about going to the fun ford weekend at pbir, I made it to the semi finals took 3rd place and got knocked out by a 2011 5.0 with a f1 blower that ran 9.50's (ouch) and it was heads up racing. This was the first time I ever raced other then test and tune, it was tons of fun. I was running drag radials and it was wicked hot so the best time I could turn was 11.6@117 a few times the smaller tires lowered my mph but I can say the drag radials brought the wheel up off the ground(got it on tape)
these are two inside the car runs sorry for the profanity in the second one I thought with the wheel spin off the line that car beat me but that was the 9.50 car, I was caught up in the moment.lol

First, I have to credit Marty Buth for tuning the car before I bought it.
I just bought it from him and took the stickers off and polished the wheels.

I was a bit surpised when it ran the 12.36 @ 106. I was expecting 12.50's, but the car was dead on that pass and I hit the shift points right on.

Here is a pic of that 12.36 pass:

60'  was a 1.623
330'  was 4.913
1/8th 7.760 @ 86.33
All of this @ 3290 lbs.

I'm going to attempt to set the P/SA record on Oct. 19th @ Indy.
I will take out 190 pounds, so I have to weigh at least 3098 lbs. with me in it.
The current P/SA record is 12.36 @ 107 mph, so if the weather is as good as it was in May, then the Bird should run under the 12.36.
