Title: '88 TC E-brake cables
Post by: evintho on January 11, 2007, 10:14:36 PM
Off my '88 parts car. Complete E-brake cable assembly from the rear calipers all the way up to the E-brake handle. Both sides and the seperate cable to the handle. Even comes with the bracket under the drivers side. These cables are in excellent condition. No kinks, no fraying, all cables ends intact. $40 + shipping.

I'll take them if you add a few things to it. Basically, I want to be able to bolt the entire shebang up to my vehicle without hitting a JY to find all the ancillary pieces. Otherwise I'll just rape a TC of the itty bits when I have time and buy the cables from NAPA.

Ancillary pieces -

Bracket [2A610] and 3 screws (Right by where the cable comes out of the cab)
Locating Sleeves [2860] (Holds up the passenger side cable to the chassis)
Locating Clips [2814] (Holds up the passenger side cable to the chassis)
LCA to cable clips [2860] and springs [2745] with bolts [N620481-S36]

Part #s referenced can be found in the Haynes and Chilton manuals.

Let me know if this works for you. Your parts car should have everything I have requested.
I will be out of town until Monday, so I won't be able to discuss the matter further until then.

Also, if you would, let me know how much a pair of swaybar brackets would run.

Thanks.

Sorry Jeremy, what you see is what you get.  The car is long gone.  It does have the one bracket right underneath the drivers side.  You'll have to scrounge the rest.  I had some pristine swaybar brackets.  Don't know if I tossed 'em or not.  If I can find 'em, I'll throw them in for nothing.  LMK.

OK, I lied about not being able to respond until Tuesday. ;)

I'll pass on the cables. Thanks for the reply.
