Hey, does anyone out there have a decent speed density computer from an automatic HO?
Check your local JY. Look at any 5.0 Mustang. The will all have a Ho coumputer for ya. Then you just need to figure out the years for S.D.( which I can't remember)
it can be from pretty much any year or even a lincoln that has a 5 litre. (it's not for my thunderbird either, incase everyone's like, "are you crazy?" lol)
I have a couple from Mark VII's. $60.00 shipped to Canada.
I've got an 86 and 88 SD computer from a couple of stangs if your interested in either.
Okay, like I already said, I am looking for this computer for my friend and he asked me to add this to my question, LOL. He has a Ranger with a 5.0 in it and he believes it is a high out put "clone". Its using the firing order of a HO, but doesn't have the proper computer for it, so it will hardly idle. He thinks the motor is an 87 or an 88, is there a huge difference or would any SD computer work? He's having trouble figuring out which computers will work and which won't....Thanks!
An '86 to '88 Speed Density H.O computer EFI engine will work.I'm using an '86 H.O. computer in my T-Bird.
i have a couple sd ones your choice $50.. im in aurora ontario lmk twister
the 85 cougar LS would not have that SD computer huh?
Yes,the T-Birds and Cougars all have speed density computers, but, they are not H.O computers. They will not run and control an H.O engine. They (the H.O computers)fire the injectors in the 351 firing order, and the peramateres are different.
