Question: GT-R badge yes or no?
GT-R badge...
Should I or shouldn't I? I kind of like it... and the car is definitely worthy of wearing it.
?????????????????????????????????
wha....how....HUH!!!????
BLASPHEMY!!!!!
jk lol
if you like it do it. but really a nissan gtr badge belongs nowhere but on, well a nissan gtr model!!!
aka i also would be against putting an svt cobra badge on it or something. (wait actually not the "SVT" thatd be cool, as if they made an svt bird) i think youll find similar responses! :beatyoass:
so just do what looks good to you!
It's your car....
I don't think it need the badge though....I think it will detract.
Somebody needs a kick in the nuts lol
GTR badge = (http://www.dnet.net/user/jkirchman/gifs/gay.gif)
I can`t agree more.........
Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!
Honestly it's your car. It would be different and would probably piss off some rice.
i think it fits right real nice on there... and its hella backed up..
HOLY *&^$
Oh My God I just about fell off my seat when I saw that. I had NO idea that smiley existed. :rollin: :rollin:
WOW this forums owns so frickin hard.
No :barf:
Put a 5.0 badge there instead
Looks like it would piss off some thunder/cat owners too... I'm suprised my "rep" points haven't been taken away, heheh...
Dude. Do NOT do it. If Ford ever made a model with a GT-R trim level, and you could somehow track that exact emblem down, by all means. But they haven't, so don't. It's rice, straight up.
Between Nissan's GT-R, Acura's Type R, and Honda's VTEC, there are no emblems wd more. I personally point, laugh, and gripe whenever I see someone slap cross brand emblems on their car, as if they are trying to pass it off as some 'supermodel' than never existed.
That goes for Clones, too.
*takes a deep breath*
#1
ford did resently make a mustang gtr consept car.
#2
the 93, and 00, cobra r where 2 of my favorite mustangs.
#3
last but not least if you drive around with those badges on chances are someone just like me will take a picture of your car so all the people he knows(real, or on the net) can see it and laugh.
gtr badges on a bird (even if it is a fast car) is pritty hoaky to me. infact it seams to me that it would take away from the credability of the car.
to sum up. if it where me I'd go with out the stickers.
That car would look cool with those "302" italic badges. GT-R not so cool.
I guess that sums it up.
I'm glad I posted this poll. You guys gave me a lot of good (and valid) reasons why I shouldn't put them on. I still like em but the bad far out weighs the good so in this case public opinion wins out. If the poll had gone more 50/50 I probably would've gone ahead and did it but given how overwhelmingly negative it went... The car stays as is... no badges.
To everyone who commented and partited, thanks for your candid opinions. That's what I was looking for.
What about the F150 GTR? Its probably an after market thing, but......
Don't put 5.0 badges on it, either. Leave the fenders alone.
That is without a doubt an aftermarket truck. If there was a sport version of the new F series, SVT would have done it (or Shelby now, I guess). But they wouldn't touch the new truck because there was just too much weight.
And the GTR was never a model, just a concept. It actually ended up being a Saleen 302 Parnelli Jones Limited Edition. If Ford didn't give them the design, they made an awefuly bold ripoff. (of PJ's own car, which the GTR was copying to start with)
Anyway, I don't have a problem with the 5.0 or even a 302 badge. At least it's accurate.

ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT THE ONES THAT ARE ALL SRIBBLED LOOKING. I WANT THOSE HELLA BAD WITH A RED 2 LIKE MY UNCLE HAD
WISH I KNEW WERE HE GOT EM
And what might I ask is wrong with the 5.0 badges on the fenders, hmmm?
:flame:
I'm actually going to go out on a limb and say that gtr badge doesn't look bad at all. At first I was thinking of the huge R I see everytime I go to any parts store but that is subtle and not ricey IMO. Considering your wheels have the red r, I don't see why you couldn't put it on the fender. Unless you could get a badge like the design on your wheel center cap, then I'd say do that hands down.
I will add this though. I wouldn't put that badge on the car if your car still had turbocoupe anywhere including the decklid...
Look it's a T-bird Turbo Coupe... no it's not it's at T-bird GTR wait, no a T-bird TCGTR HUH?
Get the idea ;)
