Title: My New Car! Now with daytime pictures.

Well she is at my buddies house right now... this thing does run badly.. but the pictures Frank had don't do this car justice.

Everything shuts so solid and the car feals so new.  I love it!

The inside is like 100% new.

This car is so oddly optioned.

Autolamp
Digi Dash (koolest!)
NO power seats
Dual Power mirrors
Its got the rear console lights and makeout lights.

Its so cool!

Glad you picked it up.  Hopefully you can get the driveability issue sorted out.  My 83 was an EEC3 car WAY back when, and I spent some time futzing with it, but it's been a while.

nice to see you got your 4-eyes  :).... i'll have a few engine and harness parts left from my ho conversion if you're in need of them.....  like my almost brand new a/c compressor that won't bolt up to the new serpentine:nkhk:

Funny story.  You are the reason I purchased this car.  I love your 4 eye, love the look.  Its killer.

Nice buy cougarSE. Also mywifeskitty goto the parts store they can sell you the right clutch for the a/c compressor. Ofcorse they might half to get out the book.

Nice ride, SE. I see great potential for that one.

As for the options, you got the important stuff. I got 6-way power drivers seat, played with it for a couple days til I found a comfy position and haven't touched it since. My cat is LOADED. Most of it I could do without, but the one thing that impressed me is the cornering lamps. I love 'em.

My 84's have had yellow.  The 83's have all been clear.  Perhaps it was a Canadian thing on the 84's.

Clear turn signal markers were on all 1983's and ran part-way into the 1984 model year. So clear or amber markers are correct for 1984.

i got 30 cents on that quarter! nice cat man. i hate the 83-4 tail light though. im with Blackjack on those 86 tail lights

Daytime pics look awesome Claude! Congrats on the ride once again..

And about the tail lights.. When I had the 84 GS i used to wish i had the 85-86 tail lights.. but now that I have an 85 and 86 cats, well I kinda miss seeing the 83-84 style.

chuck i wasnt talkin about the bird lights just the cats they look to big blockyand bright. i guess its just since i grew so attached to my 86 before i even reseached any other years, except for what i would see on to streets. just my opinion though.

I was refering to the 83-84 Cougars as well as the Tbirds....

I'll stand pat with my statement....83-84 are the best :p

I own an 84 and have owned an 86. After awhile the "coolness" of the 85-86 tailights wears off. They dont have any contour, just a blackout look. I love the three tiered tailights.

Looks like you were finally able to get a pair of 85-86 chrome mirrors for me. They even came with a car attached!
