Title: Feeler - 84 5.0 TBird
Post by: RTStabler51 on September 12, 2006, 12:23:23 PM
As the title says, this is a feeler. I haven't completely decided if I want to part with my old friend, but at the same time want her to go to a good home.

The car has been sitting for 10 years in my dad's garage. It currently has an 86 5.0 w/CFI (eek). It started up last year, but this past weekend when I moved it down to VA, it wouldn't. My first guess is the fuel pump(s) took a .

The car is loaded, minus power passenger seat. AVerage interior for its age. I had it painted Dodge Viper Red in '95, and it was put in the garage in Oct 96 after my purchased of an 89 SC and it has been there ever since.

If you are interested let me know and make a decent offer.

Like I said, just a feeler.  I'm not sure Iwant to part.  We have owned the car since ~1988.

mine hadnt been started in 8 years when i got it. i had no compression due to a timing chain. i put that in and have been driving her ever since. i would say do what you have to to get it started and go from there to make it road worthy.

Good luck with it.. seems to be another car put up for sale every day. I've had to bump my own for sale thread constantly to keep it off page 2. At least you're closer to the majority of the users on the board than I am.

It shows you as having three identical threads about it in the classifieds as well as this post in the lounge.

In that pic, it looks as if the grille is damaged. If you need a grille, I've one in my storage shed full of Tbird stuff.
If you need it, it's yours for the shipping...

sorry in the delay for response.  Car is still sitting in the driveway on the trailer.  I'm not looking for any trades, and its a day to day thing for me on selling it, so if I sell it, its going to have b e a semi decent offer.

As for the spoiler, I believe it is an old Ford Motorsport / SVO spoiler.  We purchased the car with it back in 86 or 88.
