Those corner lenses look awesome! I bought new headlight housings for my 87 but my corner lenses look like ass. How'd you do it?

actually i need to clean em up a bit.. they are yellowed a tinge.. but i cracked the lenses open far enough to get my fingers in there and i pulled the plastic peice out and just superglued it back together..

pretty easy.. and if your gonna try it... use some clothespins to hold it together while its drying

Theres lots of em on the market sylvania makes some that have a khamelion look and APC makes some that have a chrome finish.  Just go ask you're local NAPA guys he knows.

ive got some turbines... and believe it or not.. i like my grille :D

the grille breaks up the monotonous look of the front end and gives the car some contrast

well i don't ahve a prob with it they look ok i just liek the t/c nose better i have 2 sets of tubines, and 2 sets of snowflakes 15's and 16's not sure which is which my dad isn't sure either if someone is iterested it can be found out ud just have to go to west virgina to get them, or wait till christmas and i can get them and bring them to ri

Nice work, man!
Have you tried wet-sanding and polishing those corner lenses? It has been my experience that the yellow tinge is on the outside of the plastic due to UV exposure. Some people claim that the yellow tinge goes all the way through, but I haven't found that yet.
Let me know if you need some information on how to do it. I've done it many times to all kinds of lenses.

3000 grit sand paper and water right?

mine arent very yellow.. actually i dont even think they are yellow at all... but keeping them that way would be nice

did you smoke your headlights on the mn-12? ... how did you do THAT lol

i might have a project for my taillights :D

turbines look good but they make the rust hole stick out real bad. a great improvement from the spoke caps. im getting an 88 tomorrow and i think im going to do the clear corners but i like the amber corners sometimes. ill have to see

with the scheme i have come up with the clear corners will just fit better,, but thats for another day :D

and plus the turbines wont be permanent.. i see an extra lug in this cars future :D

yeah, but im making it easy, nothing all too special

the wheels are whats gonna kill me :(

but its worth it... after i get most of the suspention done, the body is gonna get nuked :D

im sticking with the sandalwood metalic color that i have for a top color now.. but the bottom brown is gonna die!

it is going black :D

shhould look good. i was thinking of a two tone for a while but i faded it out and now i saw a Fusion in a charcoal gray color that i love so two tone might still be in.

I like it. I like the turbines too. With them painted black, it has a General Lee feel to it. They remind me alot of those wheels. Nice car though, youre getting alot more done than I am. kudos.

with the sandpaper, i'd go with an 800 at most.  You arn't going to be sanding anything with 3000 grit. When you apply a clear coat when done it will fill in any scratch marks. 

Plus i like your wires better.

They look a little off with your current paint scheme but I think the sandalwood and the black will look schweeet. Turbines will look at home when that's done.

Here is my order for headlights:
1. 800 grit
2. 1000 grit
3. 1500 grit
4. Polishing compound
5. Light polishing compound (clearcoat safe)
6. Wax

Yeah, I smoked the front lights on the '96. It involved taking apart all of the lights (the corners were a PAIN) and using high-temp black paint on the non-reflective surfaces. It's tough to explain, but it makes the car look badass.

Thanks man, ill use all that, im gonna try and tint my taillights for shiznits and giggles.. they are all cracked cause my buddy doesnt know that you couldnt push a car by the taillight ,dummy lol

so when i get another set in my hands ill experiment with the old ones

and  when i get some time.. ill try making the headlights and corners perfect

turbines like that are my favorite stock wheel of all, except maybe the 93 finned cobra wheel. nice job man, i got a partial set i was working on before i went 5lug, maybe i'll finish em up and sell em.

Hoooray for turbines.  If you still want to smoke you lenses VHT makes this stuff called nightshades, works great i did my taillights right after i bought the car and they still look great.

can you give me more detailed instructions? like how long to sand with each grit, how hard to push? i just dont feel too comfortable for some reason using 800 grit on the lights. i AM going to see them scratch up from that right? but then i take it the finer ones with smooth it out......? :confused:

Looks pretty similar to mine.  Probably just the newer model.  I think the color scheme works great in these cars and the sound is great too.

I like how you have put so much effort modifing your T-bird. It looks awesome to me ! and keep the chrome of that grille. I like the style...

  Great headunit! the Pioneer HU´s are great. My brother has and old one and seems to work forever.

I had some rotten Flowmasters on my '88 XR-7 when I bought it. I can remember winding it out in first and second gear and everybody on the street would turn around and look.
I'm sure they expected to see a Fox body Mustang. :D

I got my box all built... its nice! sounds better and frees up some space in the trunk by using the space i dont use :D

i have been SOOO jealous of practically 75% of truck owners in my area, most of which, for some reason, all go up and down my street! every time id hear one go by id go crazy. "WHY NOT ME!!?????"
 
and now i finally have that, in fact with these dumped flows im probably louder! im gonna get tailipipes soon, it was just part of a...budget cut :hick:

my dad had a sub box in his/ mine now88 it was custom sat right in the spare tire divot, to bad my retard of a mother threw it out, WITH A 15 COMP SUB IN IT, after the divorce. I wanted to kill her, that set up looks nasty i bet it sounds great too.

Find a set of 12 in Xtant X series subs. Not the octagons the black round ones. Those hit hard. I had a HCCA in the new car for about a month it didn't sound too bad would go low but wouldn't hit worth . Key word there was HAD some  decide he wanted it more than me.

It easier to find them in the 10in versions. And they go cheap on Ebay. I saw a pair of 12in ones go for like $45 the other day.

the 12inch p3 my bro just picked up is dual 4 ohm voice coils, 600rms, 1000 peak, suppose be be a very nice sub for the money, heard them at best buy, worn and junk, and they still sounded good, I would have liked to see him get some alpine r4's those are a sick sub

They are 500rms for the new ones. I can't remember what the older ones were rated at.

Rockford P3's are insane. Alpine Type R's are crazy too. In my new DD Im gonna run my 10" Audiobahn A1000. 600RMS 1000peak, and its a monster. I just had two 10" Rockford P1's in my Escape, and that box made them insanely loud. I have a 12 box for my Cougar, but it wont fit in the trunk.  I might build a 10" box, and get my 10s back from my bro, since they are mine.

What kind of wire did you get? And hows your Alternator running, you gonna put a cap in or add a battery?

Im moding a 10 inch non ported box, into a 12 inch ported box for it, then it needs to be installed in my bros escort, the 10's while taking less power are nice too, id look into them.

Looks good. I did a console install this winter. When you drilled the mounting holes in the back did you notice the 1/3" of sound dedener over the floor? Cool huh:hick:

I love having friends that pay me with parts. the story is.. my buddy kaleb wants a badass system in his firebird (and it is) I install it..I get my bodywork done for installin it.

everything from the amp-subs is straight Volfenhag. and  1/4 the way up it blows my hair in the front seats.. and the amp isnt even at full hilt.

the senario is... I stripped one of the terminals on one of his capacitors. (he bought 2.. one impulse [mine] and another one cause I broke the first one.) well he gave me the broken one.. come to figure out.. it is all but broken. so hey I gots me a free 1.5farad super cap from VF.

Food.... 10$
laughing my ass off cause i only paid 30 bux for the junkyard parts... Priceless.

Portions? As in pieces for half of the box? I need to post pics of the box I put my RF 10"s in. It is a great idea for an "open cab" design. DaBoss: That cap should work fine if your just running that 12". I have run all of my previous systems without a cap. Should have but they worked fine. It would be well worth the investment to put in a cap. Even one of those 0.5 Walmart Scosche ones.

Yellow one is Lightning audio right?  IIRC they were/are owned by RF.  Like there lower end stuff.  Either way they should sound tons better than the stock stuff.  Just finished with an entirely Alpine system using their Type-R speakers.  Soooo much bass I love it, and it's only with 6.5" speakers.

Its really not that hard.. there were even already pre-drilled holes in the door for my screws.. pioneers were just flat out easy.

Lightning Audio are the lower brand of Rockford. Worth the money. Alpine makes some good component speakers. Never used Fusions. I know that when abused they arent too reliable from my knowledge or the dumbass who blew them.

I got some Flowmaster 40's and a couple exhaust leaks i have to track down..

Dumps at the moment.. got the GT tails on their way. and 12'' 2.25 to 3" chrome tips.

For speakers i might sell you my power acoustik KP speakers for the doors and back after i get 2 sets of compents if you want them later on? i will make you a good deal on them and for the price you can't go wrong on the amp i got now you can hear them about 25-40 feet away from the car clearly doors are 160max and back ones are 150 max.

those clear corners look good how long did it take to do?

and i used to have a set of turbines on my car with painted blue center caps i don't miss them at all but yours looked very nice after you painted them.

Now, my buddy kept callin this thing the cavi-queer. He kpet running his mouth on how shiznitty it was and how slow it was... (Mind you I dont like slow cars...)  He kept saying aww why'd you buy this pos? and stuff like that.

I took him for a ride in it... left 2 black marks in first and well into 2nd. and another time i chirped 3rd..

Just a little update on the bird.

I got the new P/S line in today... so it'll stop leaking!

I dropped a tailpipe. it needs bettah weldjob. and my flowmaster on the passengerside hangs just a tidbit low.

all to be fixed when im not working at my new place of employment hell... making 5.70 pr/hr

they were for a tempo... yes.. a tempo

the hubs dont fit right...up tight... but the lugs do. :D im gonna take it in and get some adapters..the hub centers on the rims are too big. and it doesnt seem right.

They look a little on the tiny side.Heck,for the cost of adapters,you can buy a decent set of used turbines or 10 holes.You can even buy a set of TC wheels for cheap if you look around.

for one... i have a set of turbines. for two.. these have good rubber. for three you cant beat $175 for all 4 wrapped in rubber.
