Sorry but not familiar with this car but familiar with this problem mine would cut out without any symptoms and would not restart until I had turn the key off the cause bad pip in the distributor.
Ok so I really need to replace both dew wipes (non-vented) as it sounds painful and scratching the glass.found the link on this but part number wg819745t not recognise on jcwhitney's site,is there still a replacement available if so what have they changed the part number to this time?.
Ok got replacement rack already to fit came with new bushes and a pack of seals two same sized small rubber o-rings approx id 7.5mm 11.5mm od and two teflon seals different sized 11mm id 13.5 od & 13mm id 15mm od didn't find any seals on the pipe joins when I removed only PTFE tape on the threads also Manual doesn't mention anything about seals are these needed?.
Sorry don't know what it's called holds the fuel lines and brake line underneath passenger side it's a plastic moulding held on by 3 fixings that have a very small round hole in them are these torx or Allen do they just pop out or do I need to lift the carpet?
It's an 86 just standard ,measured the mounting bolts got 12mm so 2 piece it is . going to drain and clean before refilling but can't find the amount of fluid I require to refill?.
3.8 cougar.just had my mot and failed on excessive play in the rack looked at rock auto but don't know which is correct . one/two piece mounting bush and with/without performance suspension what am I looking for?.
First of all engine swap is not an option as not available here and dread to think what the shipping cost would be.so far smog pump bypassed and decat if I done a conversion to carb and changed the headers and exhaust how much bhp would I gain and what else could I do?.
Just passed the emission test was co 5.3% with smog pump connected now 0.24% very happy with that now to take it off again as bearings are badly worn I need it for next year thanks for the help.
