Let me take this quick pic of the driveway.

While I am working on the photo.
I was raised on the cougar starting back in 85.
My mom was a hotrodder and had every year of the cougar since the late 60's
The first one was involved in an accident (police car broadsided her doing 60 with no lights.) Totaled it. Its a miracle that she survived. thanks to the great engineering of the car.
Second one was bought with the insurance money. that had 215k miles before it went out -
Third one was bought shortly there after - some youth had it and it was dogged. Tried to keep it as long as possible.
Fourth was bought not to far from here - I only had it a week parked it on the street - and someone ran into the back of it totaling from the rear bumper to the wheel wells (Car on rear right)
Insurance money was gotten, Bought the Brougham from Michigan (rear left) - years later - idiot turned right on red infornt of me - no where to go but into the drivers side doors.
had it repaired, but lost the strut housing shortly there after (Major body work needed when neighbors clients backed into passengers side.). I tried to maintain them as much as possible - but finding out that these were already involved in accidents before hand.

and then the last one.

Mom told me to find the site years ago - but I wasn't going to join until I had one running.

Now its all about fixing the one I have - Needs new transmission, heater core replaced, main vacuum hose repaired, new brakes installed, side window needs to be fixed, etc.

Sorry for the quality - Its dark out - and I dont have the patience of holding down the shutter. - lol
Will post more in the AM.

Its a nice ride, but there are major repairs that need to be done.  The transmission went out on me and I need to get that done ASAP. I appreciate the time that was put into it, but yet I have to put more time into it. Maybe while you drove it - you could tell something was up? - Like when I emailed the previous owner, you know how the cougar morphs into the driver you are, just by the gas pedal alone - It wouldn't go into overdrive. I'm sure we all know how to launch ourselves back into the seat. That didn't happen here.

I'm not bashing the previous owner, but with all the things I had to replace, It would have been nice to know things upfront before investing my time and money.

Other than that -  I'm just happy that I have the car that I have had since 7.

I have the original seats on standby, but I never seen it also. (one of the main reasons I bought it)
A lot has been done to the car that is custom including the stereo.
On the doors there is the embroidery says 20th Anni. also.

Thanks for the welcome. I appreciate it.

Lounge / value of 20th anniv
I believe it comes down to the value of how much you want to sell it for. Many people do not know that it is a rare car. one of 5000. When its over - its over. Enjoy riding the crest of the wave.
But in the same token - if someone approaches you or you want to sell it - keep in mind that you would want to sell it to someone who appreciates it, not someone who just wants it. (Like sharing a glass of fine cognac. If I am making sense)  I am on my 6th Anni. I just bought mine for just under $5000. it pained me, but I didnt mind the price, because I love the car.
