T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / 85 Four eye! tc for sale.
i got an 85 TC that im trying to get rid of i bought it like six months ago and it just isnt the car for me it runs more than perfectly but it could use a clutch and an ignition. they are both still there but just the ignitching acts funny sometimes. im willing to sell this thing OBO and if its the right person you might be able to pay for shipping. but it would have to be cashiers check in the mail beforehand, i am located just south of seattle washington in a city called federal way.

Go to the Ford dealer and get:

-F57Z-6584-A  - Ranger v/c gasket
-EV127A  - turbo-specific PCV valve (Take it out of the box, try and blow through the small end.  If you can, hand it back to them and have them get you another)

Don't get any other v/c gasket for a 2.3... period.


why the ranger V/C gasket? is it a thicker gasket? or a different meterial?

i have a pair of stock TC fog covers from a 85 along with a sunroof sleeve. give me a offer i understand their hard to get ahold of. just so happen to get two pairs with my car. :):burnout:

yeah those new cans really do rock. im going to do the yellow fogs real soon. i just cant find a place that sells yellow film. i guess in going to have too get it offline, and before i bought my TC i was driving a MKII vw jetta, im still a jetta freak always on the fourms. but the ford was there and its a preformer. :D

As far as paint.. if you aren't restoring for a factory look use whatever you like for the main colour coat. :) I'm using a Toyota black colour on mine and making it semi glossy (got a thread going about it). May not be everyone's cup 'o tea but I like it and she has never looked so good to me before, and that's all that matters. :)


i like the stock look but i think im going to do some simple stuff to make it me. imm plannig on filming my fogs (the original stock fogs) yellow and then im going too go with a rattle can black from the belt down. im pretty much pro with a spray can see as im 18 and i spent some time painting walls. ;) maybe ill do some artwork. that would be awsome.

thanks guys your a big help i have a buddy who works at macco here in federal way so ill have to give him a ring and see if he has some of that tape laying around. thanks for the reply!

what have you guys used to cover your bumpers? im looking too get rid of the yellow showing through and paint it from the belt down with black, and what kind of adhisive should i use for my TC badge in the door molding? just looking for suggestions and maybe some pictures of what they look like after the painting.

yeah i was thinking since i filled her up on the way home from the dealership that i am going to wait until its almost empty until i drop the tank and see whats going on up there. and my oil pressure runs pretty high if im using the turbo alot is that normal? im new too the turbo thing.

thanks man! ill get some pics up soon. its red with red cloth interior dash and carpet, it has all the options. its a five speed and its almost killed me twice now. :D its going to be fun.

i just picked up a 85 turbo coupe at a local used car yard for 16,00. its in near original condition but i think it has a fuel issue. there is a gassy smell coming from the gas tank and it seems to be leaking. not dripping from the bottom but the top of what i can see is moist, is there anything that usualy happens to the birds that cause this? and what kind of mpg's do they usually get?
