User Rides / My sons TC coupe
Well here is some updated pictures, we just got it out of the booth this afternoon and only have a few more things to install and then the outside of the car will be done, excuse the mess around the back side of the shop, its been a long winter here and we haven't done the spring clean up as of yet, kinda nasty back there! also there's still a lot of dust and compound in the gaps and groves and so on, My son says he will clean it up this next weekend so then can snap some more pictures. Also we has to toss the snow tires and wheels from the GT on here to get it outside, he is going to get the TC wheels chrome plated. He says and run them. I try unsuccessfully to grab a picture that shows the pearl i put in the paint, hopefully when he gets it cleaned up the sun will be out and you all can see it!  Next up interior. Is a real mess, the old owner had stuff held together with super glue and sheet rock screws! :punchballs:

Hi all, i need the fuel door catch for a 1986 turbo coupe, i have the solenoid and the cable but need the catch part that's inside the fuel door, its mounted on the body of the car and the cable goes to it, Kinda desperate here as the fuel door wont stay shut with out it. I would be interested in the whole set up solenoid/cable/catch if you have it :hick:

Lounge / new as well
Hi all, i posted a little about my self in the body section but heres a  better introduction
My Name is Shane, i am a industrial electrician by trade, but i have been custom painting for over 39 years, i did my first complete paint job at the ripe old age of 9, my dad was a custom painter and i kinda grew up in the industry, i have taught custom painting in the clinic form several times and now i am into the airbrush side of the industry as well. I live in a town called Sandy, in the state of Oregon, don't get the wrong idea tho cause i am about as far from a tree hugger as you can get, we are moving out of this state to mooresville north Carolina as soon as my youngest son gets outa high school, my oldest son is a pit crewman for Steven Wallace in the nascar nation wide series and live in the NC now.
If at any time any one wants any paint questions answered be sure and hit me up, if it has been done, good or bad, i have either done it or seen it done :hick: If you all want to see some of my air brush work feel free to check out my profile at learnairbrush.com. i am a charter member there and that's probably the spot where i spend most of my on air time (up tell now) but now that i have found this place i will start hangen out here more!
My youngest son and I are rebuilding/restoring/hot rodding his 1986 turbo coupe that my mother in-law bought new and has now given it to him, its quite a project so i hope to keep you all up to date as to our progress ;)

Body/Appearance/Interior / window weatherstrip
Hello all, I am new here so a little about me, i am a electrician and live in a town called Sandy, Oregon. custom painting and air brushing are hobbies of mine that keep me quite busy, I am a charter member of learnairbrush.com (you can go there and look at my paint work if you wish) and enjoy building cars, trucks and so on.
well enuf bout that stuff here's my issue
I am building/restoring a 1986 thunder bird turbo coupe for my youngest son, it is all painted and looks pretty  cool now but as we are starting to reassemble it we have found that we cant seam to find the window weather strips for the front doors, Dew wipes, anti rattlers, and the short rain guards at the top/front of the doors. Any one here have any info or tricks up  there sleeves to help us out? i have enclosed a few pictures to show where it started and where it is now
Please keep in mind i am a painter not a picture whiz!
