That's actually pretty cool. But I think I'm going to go aftermarket stereo. After messing with it, the power cuts on and off, the display is fading in and out, and the factory equalizer power button doesn't stay on. I know they're all issues that can be addressed but I think I'd just rather go for the new technology.
I've been searching with no luck. I have an 88 TC with Premium Sound and the factory EQ. It sounds pretty good still. Has anyone successfully wired in an aux input port?
Here's my issue: 88 TC, all stock. Ran with no problems. I go to start it up, and it runs for about 5 seconds, sputters and dies. I try to restart. It cranks and cranks but never starts. I check the plugs, they seem fine. They aren't soaked with fuel. I don't have pressure gauge, so I stick something in the shrader valve to see if any fuel comes out. There seems to be pressure. I go to start it again and it runs for about 5 seconds again and dies. After about 10 seconds, it starts again and dies. So, does that sound like a fuel issue?
Okay, I've tried to search this subject, but didn't get much for results. What's everyone doing for cup holders? I mean, besides jamming your drink in between the seat and the console? Any creative ideas out there? I just picked up an '88 TC with a 5 speed and I'm always driving with a drink. This is my first manual trans car. I'd love to see some pictures. Thanks!
Actually, I think I've answered my question concerning the front rotors. Looks like with some slight machining of the centers, or half inch wheels spacers, the wheels will fit.
This thread has been most helpful. I believe it's helped me successfully plan my 5 lug swap. I have an 88 TC I'm planning to install a set of 2001 Cobra wheels. For the rear, I happen to have a pair of 96 Mustang axles that I can use. If I've read everything correctly,it sounds like after I swap the axles, I can redrill the stock rotors and machine the center for clearance, OR use the 96 rear brake hardware. Does that sound right? If I go the cheap route on the front, does anyone know if the 2001 Cobra wheels will fit the Mark VII rotors?
