pretty much, it doesn't matter how you do it as long as it's done right, straight and doesn't require a gallon of bondo :hick:

yeah, to prevent serious warping when using the  tool, i usually snip a piece out every couple inches, just a little 1/8" piece.. it really helps and the little bit i do get, i knock out with a hammer/dolly before i start tacking the patch in

i disagree with your statement about guys who don't have the money to spend $400 on a cam finding a new hobby, that's just asinine.. there's nothing wrong with a $100 cam for the guy on a small budget, or even a $50 used cam.. so what, it won't give him everything a $400 custom cam will, but it's better than stock and still gets the job done, just not as well
