Regretably I am selling my bird. It has been sitting for a few years now and I will not be able to do anything with it anytime soon. I'd hate to see it rot away as it is doing, so I am selling it. Hopefully it will find a good and loving home. It is an '86 originally a t/c.
The interior is in great shape, however the front seats are slightly starting to fade, but no rips or tears. The dash has no cracks. The dash and console plate was custom made by a buddy of mine who worked in a machine shop. S/s filled with autometer gauges.
The drivetrain consist of an early '70s carbed 302. I was told it was a '72. It's slightly modded. I know very little about it as I bought it from a friend who's brother who died owned it and he didn't know much about it. It has a cam of which I have no specs. Edlebrock 600 cfm carb and performer intake. The heads under the v/c are spic and span. He believed the top end was redone, but don't quote me on that. It has a C-4 with a shift kit and b&m ratchet shifter. Mileage on both unknown. It has a 7.5 t/l rear with what I beleive are stock gears. It has long tube headers with flowmaster two chambers. The lers are only a couple of years old. I removed the cats which were clogged. It just needs a filler pipe if cats are not going to be put back on.
As far as the body. Rust in the usual places and bottom of doors are pretty bad. Pass side quarter had good build up of mud which I grinded out and never went anyfarther with. It has an aftermarket t/c hood with cutout trim.
It has 10 holes on it and I have a set of snowflakes I will include with it. Make me a reasonable offer, I am located in 19057. I will provide any pics needed, just let me know what you need to see.
I was going thru some pictures and came across these. They are of Dave Pearson's T-Bird in the Nascar Cafe in Myrtle Beach. Thought you might be interested in a little piece of history.
That was my neighbors cat, I think it jinxed me. I had owned it about 12 years at that point without so much as a shopping cart ding. And the mustang was my brothers, a '90 if I remember correctly.
I was looking thru some pictures and came accross one of my first 'bird. This was taken somewhere around 2001. Shortly thereafter is when I had my little mishap. Sorry for the poor quality, as I do not have a scanner, so I took a photo of the pic with my digital camera.
