XenForo is what Stangnet is on and yes, it is really nice. I think something that will help us make a decision is what would the cost be per year to make a move to something like XenForo vs other options and what functionality would we gain that we would actually use. We also need to realize that migrating over to a new board platform will have upfront costs so the first year is likely going to cost more than successive years.
Well foureyedpride is now gone and all of the knowledge with it. It would suck for the same to happen here. Is getting this forum over to new software simply a bit enough time thing and/or a money thing? I’m super ignorant when it comes to this stuff so forgive me if I’m not asking the right question.
I did the same thing. Only badge left is on the passenger side of the dash. I even have a 85 grill so it could be painted the same color as the car and the badge holes were filled on it as well.
I completely forgot about this build but holy that car looks amazing! Was great to hear it run and thanks for posting that video. Keep up the work as this one is really sweet!
I want to say that what hits the valve cover is the throttle body linkage as it is directly over the valve cover. If you remove the EGR spacer then it move the throttle body in far enough that I think it may clear. Easiest way to know is to mock everything up.
I did a little looking around and found that Mike has valve covers similar to what you are going to run so check this thread out:
Looking more and more like a non-leaking motor. Is the provision for a mechanical pump on the timing cover functional? I’ve seen where they are there but cast closed so was just curious. Hopefully that makes sense.
Gotcha. Was just curious as to how healthy it is with it being 40 years old. You are making some great progress but the seals missing on the one side is crazy.
And there is the problem. I am using an LED for the light so you have to parallel it with a resistor and use a diode. I just hosed the wiring when I did it and know how to fix it but just have not had the time. Everything else works like it should so I am going to swap out the resistor that I used as I think it it bad. Basically you have to wire it like this to make things work:
